All you guys so desperate to get an ativa. I hope y'all would reconsider the low spec Yaris or city.

As someone who has 3.2k on the odometer since CNY, I am somewhat regretting my decision on choosing the Ativa.

The car has wayyyy too much rattling noises coming from the dashboard and the door panels. The suspension is so stiff and the floor has so little noise and vibration insulation materials that the whole car shakes.

The ACC and LKC is so poorly implemented and it's so uncomfortable to use. The headunit is garbage and doesn't even connect to my phone.

Seriously, this car is still so many generations behind a vios or city.

Should have used proper screws to do the tightening instead of plastic clips which give way after a while. I could be wrong here.

ACC is uncomfortable because once the car in front of you starts to pull away, the Ativa's ACC will use a 3k rpm acceleration to maintain the gap with the car in front.

Even if you have a speed variance of 5km/hr Vs your targeted cruising speed, the car will initiate a 3k rpm acceleration.

If your current speed is lower, then perhaps, it will accelerate at 2.5k rpm. Either way, the ACC will always prefer high engine speeds to accelerate rather than accelerating at a more gradual pace.

The LKA jsut loosens the steering up by a bit for no reason. Its very slight but enough for unintentional inputs. You're putting in very slight left turn to center the car, but because the steering is not as tight, you have to counter it with a right turn. In the end, you're just doing a left right left right left right in your own lane for no reason. You can avoid this by being more aware with your inputs, but it voids the purpose of the LKA as a driving aid then, when its really making it more difficult.

Finally change the Ativa Head unit and install to Android player head unit on Tuesday. Its a TS10 6gb+128gb, 7862 SOC model non 360 camera. And yes, those usb port and hdmi port under the aircond no longer works as the socket pin from this android player different from our stock socket pin. Hopefully manufacturer in 1 year or 2 will make socket pin to compatible with the stock usb and hdmi port.
I done it in a car accessories shop in SR Max Automart install by the guy call ah Hoong. The brand is call SKY NAVI. There are also other brand in the market same design as this player call Vecaro or or issotta. You can search this in shopee.

p/s : Due to im choosing to use back the stock reverse camera, it still works in this android player, but on PAL mode, just that its not clear as those AHD camera comes with the package.

Regarding wind noise do you mean the wind noise that come from the rear like a window not closed properly? Driving me crazy.
My complaint with my SC is that I complained my steering wheel sounds like there is a screw loose inside, they helped me replace. But the replaced part is the outer wheel, where the sound is from the center (horn and button area).

What car do you drive?

Nothing in particular, but they were asking where exactly is the wind noise originating from. But my only experience with wind noise is the expected noise you'd get when travelling on the highways.

I did tell her that road noise was a far bigger issue than wind noise.

Unless there are other ativa owners who are experiencing wind noise thats NOT caused when travelling on highway speeds.

I'm sure they will call you up soon.

Ooh I see~ So far I never really drive at highway speeds since its always jam in KL these days hahaha. The burning smell appears during uphill climbs and overtaking (after 5-10 seconds over 3k rpm or when I reach 100km/h)

Anyone can recommend good advisor @ jb. Yesterday went to one of showroom, they never message me. Feel like they not interested to new potential buyer

Just gonna pop up here before i submit this issue to perodua later on.
2 things happened differently i just had

1- More than 1/2 beeping noise (multiple beepings) after engine is turned on. It's even overlapped with radio.
2- This one i just noticed today because i have to go through road hill with traffic jam on my way to home everyday, hill climbing assist doesnt work anymore. It works for few seconds then suddenly my car starts moving backwards.

Is the beeping sound maybe the Bluetooth connection sound?
Climbing assist, do you put at N or D? The only time it didn’t work for me is when I parked at a slope and from P to D it sloped down, but may need to test more times.
Different modifications void different categories of warranty, but if they want they can just deny your claims even if your modifications are PnP.
I heard most people just stick to PnP mods, avoid cutting wires, when needed for claim just remove the mods and send it back.

Question for stock headunit users, does your Bluetooth audio auto play when you start the car or have to manually tekan?
My iPhone and Android both doesn’t auto start, but friend Bezza non touch head unit will auto play when start the car.

in terms of when your phone conencting the HU, then you play music from your phone, then autoplay ?
