Dunno what issue that is. If that problem with screen flashing on whatsapp voicenote, it has been fixed long ago.

Anyway I've found that battery life has been better on the miui 14 android 13, maybe 1h longer sot with same usage as miui 13 android 12. They've also enabled monet theming partially on status bar and its auto working on some google app too. Sadly fullscreen gesture still doesn't work with third party launcher.

Surprisingly mediatek SOC of 11t got miui14 first.

Snapdragon SOC of 11t pro still hasn't got any news yet.

today, i got the prompt to update.. for local MI 11T Pro set

feels ok so far. will see how it goes over the next 2 days. didn't bother to factory reset my phone though.

but i don't like that the power button summons Google Assistant. last time can easily disable, but this time, i can't seem to find the option to disable it.

anyone can help?

hmm.. looks like i need to do a factory reset this time around..

battery drain quite bad. i see some apps went rogue on me. will, usually bigger Android updates do tend to have such issues.

only thing is.. dem painful having to reset phone.. somehow, Android can't seem to be able to restore my apps automatically.. still end up having to manually install from Google Play.

but good also.. time to review end ignore those apps I've not used in s long time

factory reset my Mi 11T Pro after getting MIUI 14. feels better after reset.

have to admit.. still lots of ads (recommendations) that needs to be disabled. steps mentioned here are still valid:
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry98877471

if anything, Xiaomi seems to have added a few more things like GetApps. feels like this is a 3rd party apps store (under Mi or just JV, not sure). cannot uninstall. then there's also Game Center -- looks like another apps to download games? again cannot uninstall.

but otherwise, feels good to have a "fresh" phone.

Game center is basically a game mode for gaming. It already exist on previous miui 13. Can auto boost, enable dnd mode and auto reject call while gaming. Imho not really a bloat since nowadays all phone got some sort of gaming mode feature even google pixel.

Btw does your 11t pro have bug with control center on miui 14? My 11t non pro after got miui 14 seems to be buggy if using old style control center, can't swipe down to open notification panel. I'm forced to use the new miui style control center now but i hated it, can't show total data usage anymore plus theres a perma notif about smart devices.

Game Center i mentioned here is different. The one that boost gaming is Game Turbo.

Game Center is another apps store, just like GetApps.

i have mi 11T Pro, so, not sure can compare properly for the Control Center. i actually prefer the new style and have been using it even for MIUI 13. found the new style nicer and i actually like this a lot. if you swipe on the left side, you get your notifications, and if swipe down on the right side, you get the quick controls.

anyway, i tested and switched to old style... i can swipe down to get the quick controls (like turn off WiFi) and i can see my app notifications at the bottom, like my whatsapp messages... is this what you mean?

Yes that what i mean, cant swipe down to see app notifications and toggles. The thing is its not always happening. At first it works fine then suddenly after few hours can't swipe down anymore. I usually "fix" it by opening setting and change to new style and back to old style, it works again after that but after few hours it'll be buggy cant swipe again. The opening setting and changing control center style a few times a day annoyed me forcing me to just stay using the new style which i didn't prefer. Full phone reset might fix it for good but gotta know first its actually a bug just me experiencing because not full reset after the update.

Preference i guess. Also the mobiledata counter is missing on the new control center. Previously can just slide on notif pulldown and glance the daily and monthly data usage there, now got to open security app or telco app to see data usage.
