Actually both raize and rocky do have DRL on headlamp but if no mistaken it only light up after u turn on light, its like on the 2015 myvi icon style. Unlike the lower bumper DRL, it will automatic turned on when start engine.
The headlamp DRL is together with sequential signal light

That is not DRL. That is dipped light.

You know how if you want to turn on your headlight, you have to turn the knob twice? Turn first - on small light, turn second - on the full light

That is the small light or dipped light. The one you on during light rain.

Its not DRL, the DRL is on the bumper

Ya u can called it dipped light. I just called it DRL or small light, both are LED. Some called it DRL or small light too in youtube. Example above youtube i post, the indonesian guy mentioned if the signal turned off it will become DRL. Doesnt matter la dipped or DRL, but it still look like DRL when turned on.

I got this one fren he drive 2018 hilux, and his wife drive 2015 accord, he dislike the stock DRL that turned on everytime start engine. He said too bright the DRL on his hilux and his wife accord and might weaken the battery faster lulz! Tats his believe la haha! What i know LED doesnt consumed much energy. So he modified the DRL become small light/dipped light, i mean only turned on when he turn on light. I dont know how he mod it but he did it. But his wife abit pissed he did it on her car too. Lulz!
Now he called it dipped light cos no more running light daytime when start engine.

Ya but if you on that small light, then your rear light will be on as well. That's not DRL dy

Boss, DRL turn on when your light is off, and some even will get shut off on its own when you turn on headlamp,
That's how the term Daytime Running Light came from, it turn on at daytime.

On the opposite end, Position Light turned on when you switch on headlamp

You can't call them the same thing just because you think it should be,
this is as equal as calling Pork and Beef are the same because they were both meat from animal.

The dipped light, often called parking light as well.

what model does it replaces or is it a weird niche market for itself?

i just wished it had slightly more power for its price... even myvi 1.5 is more powerful

Personally I think within speed limit it will outperform Myvi in term of power side by side comparison,

But when speed went above speed limit like 140km/h and above I do think it will struggle more than Myvi... The CVT also should be somewhat more responsive & efficient compared to the 4AT considering it have a dedicated gear for cruising which reduces power loss.

Most probably reserving it for UMW Toyota cars only. Even no 360 camera which also on Toyota only.

I not sure abt DRL shut off if turned on headlamp, or myb i didnt notice have some car like that, but usually i noticed if turned on headlamp, DRL will go dim. Same like my car DRL become dim when i turned on small light or headlamp.

Raize n rocky have 360 camera.
Perodua should put it on ativa av at least.

but honestly... i feel saving up slightly more for a proton x50 executive version gets you more "car" for the money...
