Essentially they are the same with the family plan extendable to spouse or children(s).

Cost wise it [may & may not] be cheaper under a family plan as the other members are only covered under medical plans.

Before this got but nowadays no more already, have to buy life separately , at most only got spouse payor but not joint spouse life.

The purpose of mortgage insurance is to cover the outstanding loan in the event of death or permanent disablement.

PA gives the same coverage if one is not looking at returns.

Family PA is still available

Though it's limited to only accidental events and permanent disabilities.

Life insurance will still be essential.

My father age 60 buy a AIA life insurance at 1995

year premium RM730

but coverage only RM30,000


and also a GE life insurance
RM 1740

BUT COVERAGE ONLY RM50,000


until now still valid..
