Hi guys, i currently have a problem with my p990i. After start-up.i instantly get a message saying that i have 255 voicemail, 255 network notifications, 255 email and 255 network fax at the bottom left part of the screen as the flip is open. I'm using a post-paid maxis plan and i do not get this message if i put in my friends sim card in. And other phone's start-up normally while suing my sim-card.

Rerally hope someone can help me with this. Its gets pretty annoying

yeah, singapore version can write chinese.

but i just change mine to HK version after i find out HK version is newer and also it has the alarm bug fixed. no more soft to normal alarm, but still it only alarm for 20 secs.

btw, got some bugs on this hk firmware, like the space bar kenot load call pad on FO. but that's not an issue for me. so far so good. need some time to test it out.

hey guys i'm currently having tis problem after i copy my contacts frm sim to phone.... my sim alil cacat edi...normally wen i on my hp then i open sim contacts it doesn't lagg...bt after i copied then they say sim nt rdy and one more thing is my contacts all missing altho i COPY to phone mmry...then nw i oni can reply msges can't send..they write there ACCESS DENIED!...last time if my contacts send me sms, my phone will shw d name..bt nw only no. T_T..pls help me..thx

Bro, do u follow the step from guide book?
1st, make sure 3 things on your phone is ON. (Bluetooth, visible to other devices and enable power saving).
2nd, Press the button on yr bluetooth for 8 sec, until the light shows u purple and red bah..(forget what color oredi)
.... then follow the guide book.. i not so sure the bluetooth that u using.. mine using i-tech mini clip, easy to paired.


if yr sim is cacat, go maxis, celcom or digi change lor.

yr sim there still got copy(contact) or not?
why dont take to service centre.. they might help u..
if cannot also u will get a new sim mar..
but i dunno they going to charge u or not.
but not physical dmg ok de. try talk wif them.

i tried mine on fring. working ok. no problem. i upgrade my firmware to HK version.

u might wanna try upgrade your firmware and install 2 more stuff fring recommend you.

Yea. Fring works just fine on mine. Im using singapore latest firmware too (R9F)

guys..any idea where to download map viewer software for M600i? with Malaysia maps ones.

EDIT : just found out from V2 thread that there's currently no map viewer software for UIQ3 that contains Malaysia map. TomTom is suitable for UIQ3 but doesn't come with one. the onyl way to use GPS is to pair Garmin MobileXT with Garmin 10x BT which cost about RM700.

hey guys, my port-pop connector or whatever it is, to use for charge / headset place is kinda loose, and must shake it a lil bit, anyone know how much to repair/replace it?

i don't think you can fix that. just have to live with it.

the same happened to my M600i. sometimes loose until can't even detect it when trying to connect it to the computer using the USB cable. i thought P990i comes with a cradle. is it still loose when used with it?

hmm, its better with cradle but sometimes will dc from the supply, if know what i mean, like charge and suddenly no charge

the worse is when using the headset, sometimes the sound will be loud and or sometimes too soft and other times will not detect the headset unless u reconnect several times..

maybe i will ask in authorised shops tomorrow in mv ..

yup. the same when using headset. but if you try to move it a lil' bit, it will be fine back as usual. that what i always did. try to go to those SESC like Ericserve etc. they should know what caused it as they are into servicing SE phones.

Yes, don't update it.
After you update to World Generic, you chinese input will totally gone.
