no ler... see carefully...what the fella meant was flashing the m600i with w950i...so you should ask what's so bad about m600i firmware(no walkman i guess)

Just bought P990i yesterday after long tought . Love the WIFI features. This thread help me a lot especially in getting it works and the freeware. Thanks TS and mod.

agreed. that's why i'm loving my M600i!

For me, M600 has gud keypad function but hav slow screen response at same time as well.

for me, p990i is my first mobile phone with qwerty, so typing with it stil fine to me

any 1 can help me on how to donlod movies in to p990...and only wat format can be view??? plz plus old prob still occured (restart and other lag...)

the qwerty keyboard for p990i not really bad at all.
for me problem is the button too small..
i need used the nails to press on it.. haha..
coz my finger dam big. =(

I'm planning to get P990i like stated earlier in this tread. But im not sure whether im taking the right step as i heard a lot of bad things about this phone. Can users of this phone help me?

still some bugs in the current firmware, but if u r new to symbian uiq 3.0, must ready to get used to the 'kinda slow' respond of the os.
btw, 2.0mp cam with af and large 2.8 inch display at this current ap price, i think is kinda worth to grab it home.

I'm using Opera Mini to browse internet in p990i, it kinda slow, compared to the default browser (donno the name) which came as default browser. Any other browser at least faster than default one?

Finally went to grab one P990i back home last evening.

if u wont 1 time click so many program it wont hang.
hang mean 100% cannot power OFF the phone or can Power OFF by pressing the power ON OFF button?

I get to hang 1 time, but i able to off the phone by pressing the ON OFF button. then i reON back, it get back to normal.

Wifi, so far din hopeless to me.
qwerty button abit small. hard to press coz my finger is big.
handwriting for chinese is very nice, but english and 1 2 3---8 9 0 abit hard..

auto restart i din face b4.
if u said very slow when open a program, it not really lor.
still ok lar. just remember "end" the program after u using, coz it take alot memory.
Picture quality is very nice. u really dunno that is using a 2.0mp camera take it.

I dunno lor. so far i din get any funny thing to me yet. hope it not also.

for me, experience once 'auto restart' that makes me frustated. Took a pic using my p990i during my friend's convo, before took the pic i checked my free ram around 10mb. Who knows when i clicked the snap button, it freezed, then auto-restart. Normal 'hang issue' happened when using wifi. Sometimes the ON-OFF button isn't working when it hangs, need to take off the battery and re-insert it.
*for me, i played with o2 atom, i feel that wm5 is slightly 'faster' than uiq3.0

Is Singapore firmware able to write + read Chinese? As i might buy my M600 from Singapore...
