what do u mean? care to elaborate further? do u mean the unlock screen appear instead of the screensaver/no screen fading to dark?

hmm..after fresh format..did u install any extra softwares? might be the cause of it. ur problem is kinda weird.

M600i can be sort of 'modded' to view chinese. just add in some fonts etc. simple steps. but to write chinese..u will need to change the CDA & firmware. most m'sia ones can't write/input chinese...unless u change it. there are few who managed to do it..info available in the V2 thread.

sound is quite OK for a SE phone. sharp & crisp.

Sandisk is actually the one who manufactured MSPD (not sure about M2 tho) for Sony. Sony rebranded 'em & put on the 'Sony' brand. usually..Sandisk ones are cheaper compared to Sony. but quality should be the same. there's alot of fake Sony MSPD out there. they might write Magicgate etc. but the transfer/writing speed is much much slower than original ones. that explains about the huge price difference for some of them. i'm not sure whether those LYN sellers are selling fake or ori ones. learn how to differentiate 'em from here : Fake MSPD

what kinda screen hang problem u mean? i've been using it for almost 8 months. so far its performance are fantastic.

hmm... tried update to the latest firmware? if yours is an ori set, bring it to any SESC, it's FOC. if not, they will charge around RM40-50.

oh. agreed. the resale value has seriously dropped alot. used sets are only around RM600-700 nowadays. but overall , it's still a nice phone to use. the QWERTY is my favourite. try to get P1i. it's a much better improvement of M600i.

yup..most teens/youngsters would go for normal ones such as K810i,W880i etc. M600i not necessarily suits businessmen only..it depends on what kinda features a user look in a phone. for me, a camera is not a must..so M600i offers all the features i fully-utilize. esp the keyboard since i'm a heavy SMS user.

whatever it is, it comes down to users' preferences when choosing a phone.

P1i is actually a good well-rounded UIQ Symbian phone. with 3G, 3.2MP AF camera, Touchscreen, QWERTY keypad, WLAN & a better firmware improvement from P990i..it's currently the best one out there IMO..for such price tag..it's a very good buy. anwyays..just my 2cents.

yes. it's possible. but no one here tried it before. it's from overseas. there's some forum which has a guide teaching u how to do it but forgotten which is it. anyway, it's on ur own risk.

guys..any idea where to download map viewer software for M600i? with Malaysia maps ones.

EDIT : just found out from V2 thread that there's currently no map viewer software for UIQ3 that contains Malaysia map. TomTom is suitable for UIQ3 but doesn't come with one. the onyl way to use GPS is to pair Garmin MobileXT with Garmin 10x BT which cost about RM700.

the same happened to my M600i. sometimes loose until can't even detect it when trying to connect it to the computer using the USB cable. i thought P990i comes with a cradle. is it still loose when used with it?

yup. the same when using headset. but if you try to move it a lil' bit, it will be fine back as usual. that what i always did. try to go to those SESC like Ericserve etc. they should know what caused it as they are into servicing SE phones.

u might wanna get it from our LYN sellers like Renee & a few others. they are quite reliable & trustable. provide good service too. good luck.

try here..there are lotsa choices. still prefer the book type. looks elegant.
