The year is 1735. Having removed the Mughals, the Marathas empire now dominate India. The Portuguese were defeated by the Spanish back in Europe leaving their Goa colony to rebels after Lisbon fell. The Marathas took Goa quickly. Having fought the Mughals all the way up to Lahore, the Persian Empire declared war on the Marathas. The Persians a shadow of their former self now exist in the confines of the Hindu Kush mountains, protected for the Ottoman Turks.

The Persian Empire sends in small scattered forces that ravage the country side of the Marathas North Eastern regions. The Marathas retaliate by taking Afghanistan. That may be a mistake, moving into the Hindu Kush mountain range, the Persian come in small forces that continue to disrupt the Marathas industries in these region. Battling the Persians will be a long and hard experience. The Persians are not interested in a cease fire. The cost of holding a defence against the raiding parties is expensive and will affect the marathas empires ability to field a large army to an overseas campaign.

PS : Think twice before you move into Afghanistan. Fighting over there is ugly and tiresome.

Could've warned me earlier, i've taken Afghanistan. Everyone keeps trying to bribe me into giving them Gujarat for some bloody reason.

When i playing India i hapus the persian and almost end the Ottoman empire LOL but the time is 1750 already..ends...if i click continune i can ends ottoman empire in 10 more turns. Cairo , Damacus , Jurusalem all under my India already.

BTW these day internet so shit...keep on disconnect cannot log in to steam so cannot play Empire for few days already

Hi all,

Played this only for a few hour thus far.

I attacked one of the cities of Sweden and their infantry seems to hide in those buildings quite often and are pretty resilient to normal gunfires.

I would like to ask is there a way to flush them out quickly?

If want spanish eliminated portugess first you need be friend ship with spanish and french because this 2 countruy are british hated...and Portuguess is british allied backup...mean french and spanish will war with british and portuguss for sure...so u must allied with french and spanish so ......spanish will help you eliminated portuguss for sure

When I played Russia I decided Navy was for sissies and went to Indian through Persia and the Ottomans, was not "that" bad, more than Ottomans really have buttload of regions and they really dunno how to build their regions (maradrass everywhere.....).

It is hard to justify.

Refer to my 2nd RIG below. I have 2gb + 9600GT and I never encounter any CTD issues. Sound issue, for me is not a big deal as I turn them off when I play. In fact, the developer are taking up their responsibility in remedy the CTD problem.

Added on April 2, 2009, 2:25 pmI take 5 full load troops to India and able to conquer the entire region, start by eliminating the Marathas followed by Mughals. Marathas was easy thou and I only received resistance from Mughals, since most of the lower India are accessible by sea. I declared war and strike 5 cities at the same turn. that leave me little cities to take at the next turn.

Mughals is difficult as I need to walk my troops to the inner portion of the region.

I leave the Persia alone.

Now I am going back to Europe to take down the annoying Poland-Lithuania

He he he, in campain I use auto-resolve a lot actually, the AI do not really give a challenge enough to bother and when it's my full stack against 5-6 units I really do not see the point to wipe the floor with them. As of naval fights, there is not that much action going on (I usually try to pwn the Pirates early, their plantations are nice and they stacks full of gallions and all are a pain in the ass) or it's full stack of ships fighting each other which is troublesome and not really fun to do for me.

I will try to free myself for tomorrow, I got some plans though, nothing fully confirm though

Mustafa II has a lot to be done.

Under the pressure and taunting by the Russia military, Mustafa II declare war against Russia.

Mustafa II quickly mobilize his elite janissary units across Russia teritory, and war brokeout while Russia struggling to keep his teritory together, Janissary army prevail, in 10 turn, Ottoman Empire get close to the Russia capital, Moscow.

Russia quickly built up his army to defend the capital, but the Imam from Ottoman Empire has turn enough convert to start a revolt within the Moscow itself.

With the Mustafa II army waiting patiently to strike at the border, the revolt within the capital is not a welcoming news for the Russia.

Until now, Ottoman Empire has mobilize almost 10,000 troops to the border of Moscow. Only time will tell the fate of Russians.
