Yep, that one was REALLY long to load for me too.

But even others loading do take a bit of time and it can just become a bit irritating.

the slow loading time depends, i had tat problem when i played episode 3 of road to indepedence, almost as long as the demo
when they were loading the battle at the start
*
i see, i haven't played the road to independence scenario yet,
i just play the grand campaign laugh.gif

Yar, loading times are still a pain, less than in demo but still pretty long.

You play with which faction?

I am still doing the last scenario of the US campaign (did not have that much time to play this weekend yet).

I think I am going to start with the French when I do the great campain  tongue.gif
And yes I am sure most of the retailer now have ETW to sell by now
*
Playing the English of course. I'd suggest you start off with the Brits or Russia as if you take France, Austrai Prussia or the any other major nation, you're in stuck between a rock and a hard place if you get attacked. Mind you, teching up in the beginning is really slow if you're Russia.

Spain would also be a good starting choice. If you're going to play the French, i suggest building up alliances ASAP. The alliances will be beneficial to you as the AI in my game only had Spain for an ally.

I instigated a war against Prussia and squashed them till they currently have one territory left. The minor nations are way small and you can crush them at your leisure. Just make full use of the Diplomacy Menu as you'll be depending on it a lot for tech exchanges, trade and war/peace.

actually i don't feel any slow loading times ???
and i also don't feel the sound bug yet....??

if you attack a nation which have a lot of allies, will they join up and attack you back ???
*
Most definitely... the AI honours the Alliance in this game more than they do in RTW or M2TW. laugh.gif

Damn the scenario 3 of the US campain is tough (the one with Bunker Hill battle). Opponents really have way more troops than you and are not scared to use them!

I think I am gonna start the great campain, might go for UK as the geographic position will definitely be better. I wanted to go for France since I am French tongue.gif
But think it will wait until I get a better grasp of the game, there are indeed quite a fair bit of difference with the pervious TW in how to manage your empire.

So far I quite enjoy the navy battles, it's pretty fun and tactical but I can see it becoming hard if you have a lot of ships on each side.

You will lose Bunker Hill. When things were about to go, i quit the battle and it went straight to the campaign map. laugh.gif

Nar, I managed to win Bunker Hills (lost the first time I did it though), but after that it's kinda tough, the UK has lot of troops.

Now I am doing the grand campain though, quite fun smile.gif

LOL just managed to win the Battle of Bunker Hill, wasn't easy. Still need more practices. tongue.gif

Also CA really simplifies the campaign map. Probably to make it "easier" for colonization.

Not sure what you mean exactly by "extra online contents" but if you were talking about mods TW series is by "tradition" quite open to modding if I remember well. The previous TW had some excellent mods created by fans to improve AI, balance, add units etc.

I am not sure but I think I remember in an interview that they said ETW will also be open to modding, but it might be a bit too early yet smile.gif
