QUOTE(BenYeeHua @ Jun 17 2021, 08:50 AM) It can be your BTU having LAN port dropped to 100M after certain times? To add, check the LAN cable between the Modem/ONT/BTU and Router, it should be at least CAT5e or higherIf you use Asus router, just check the link speed of WAN port to see is it this issues or not la, if cable/port unstable and disconnect few times, it will drop back to 100M and stay stable. As you mention reboot BTU works, then I guess it means the BTU which responsible for choosing the link speed drop it back to 100M after certain amount of unstable connection. |

EMCO tomorrow Aka they think you have terminated/illegal connection or "whoops someone else signed up for fibre but we don't have enough ports, someone is getting disconnected so we can finish this install, another tech will deal with you, not my problem" kiritoffx liked this post

QUOTE(cho @ Jul 2 2021, 10:14 AM) hi all, i believe you all in here is more knowledgeable than TM CS. LOS red means the fibre cable is disconnected or damageddoes anyone know if the modem PON is OFF and the LOS blinking red, what does it mean? can it be the router is faulty? they blamed the router is faulty and ask me to contact tplink directly ,, is it true? Aka it can't communicate with the other side of the fibre. There is NO relation between the router. Get them to fix the fibre. |

Also, in case you do get the mesh router, either from outside or via TM
Do NOT follow TM's instructions of just plugging the mesh into your stock router, then running it in Dynamic IP mode Terrible way of setting it up, Double NAT, conflicting wifi's and more. Throw your stock router out the window and set up the mesh in PPPoE mode, directly connecting the mesh to the modem. |

QUOTE(moxxon @ Jul 5 2021, 02:18 PM) THANK YOUUUUUU No? That's what the router does to authenticate you to TM's servers so they know who you are and your plan's speed capit work. next question... Do we really need to change the ppoe password? and where do you change that? i'm scrolling through unifi's site and don't see any option to change ppoe password With that said I think you can ask customer service to change |

QUOTE(zioburosky13 @ Jul 14 2021, 01:25 PM) Heya folks, just upgraded to Unifi 800Mbps, still, does anyone who is on the subscription experiencing less than promised download speed? That is kinda expected for places such as SteamBy that I mean not getting maximum download speed on Steam. Edit: Got a new router to handle the connection speed, and using a LAN cat-6 cable here. Because the files it's downloading are compressed, it has to extract the files too, which takes your cpu time to do so Plus steam has to serve other users too so they wont let like a gigabit user use up all of the bandwidth |

QUOTE(The.Lucas.DaY @ Jul 18 2021, 03:32 PM) Hi guys, can please recommend an affordable mesh wifi model? Currently looking at Tp-link M4 should be enough for my need as my Unifi plan is 100Mbps (upgradable to 300mbps), Yes and you should replace the dlink, ignore TM’s instructions that plug it into router.- can replace my old router (Dlink dir-842) ? or it should work with my old router - can only 1 unit working standalone? Thanks in advance Yes also for the 2nd part but you would not be taking advantage of any mesh features, in which a normal router would better as it has more lan ports. |

QUOTE(shaktiv8 @ Jul 22 2021, 03:35 AM) Hello everyone! I would like to know if cloudflare has fixed their warp routing with TM? The past few weeks I used to get HK but today seems to give me Singaporean server Cloudflare WARP is kinda a VPNBut in the Singaporean server, after using for about an hour the connection like lags severely for a few seconds like it has dropped and it comes back Is this random short internet pauses normal for cloudflare warp? I’m using this for dns privacy, and it’s not a vpn so why should it caused the internet to like stop if it is having some issues ? Sorry I’m very noob lol Or a proxy Since you do show up as Cloudflare's IP TM used to have issues with Singapore routings, hopefully okay now Consider just using the DNS on it's own |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Jul 22 2021, 09:45 AM) Please use both unit of the deco. Remove the Netis router and configure the deco as main router, another unit as the mesh. To add, DO NOT follow TM's instructions of plugging mesh into stock router. It's a terrible way of setting up Search online for guides that set it up in PPPoE mode, which is better. |

Try to disable but couldnt find any setting Used for the easyfix site, firmware updates and remotely changing settings if you complain like internet not working. If you do want to disable it, try logging in with the highest level admin/root credentials you can find, then see if you can delete the VLAN/Disable it or look for CWMP and see if can disable there. |

QUOTE(heLL_bOy @ Aug 24 2021, 09:10 PM) google/cloudflare equal same as TM dns latency which hosted in local. Quad9 actually have servers in Malaysia hosted by TIME/Global Transit Communicationsunless u go for Quad9 or opendns which abit higher which hosted in SG. But thanks to Unifi routing somehow it always defaults to SG server instead I have tried forcing Malaysian servers before Instead of going through MyIX (like on Maxis or TIME) it goes to SG, routes around and then back to Malaysia. |

QUOTE(michaelkkl @ Aug 25 2021, 10:56 AM) Quad9 actually provided by PCH (AS42) which have PoP in KUL (MyIX, AIMS). Interestingly, yeah traceroute shows pch.myix but dnslesktest says it’s Global Transit Communications.ISP that peer with PCH in MyIX will get Quad9 route via MyIX. During Quad9 firstly launched in MyIX, I did feedback about TM routing to Quad9. They replied that TM peering with them in SG but not in KUL. That is why routing from TM to Quad9 will goes via Equinix SG instead of local MyIX. |

Odd I never used router printer before so I'll have to see how it works. Or try the generic utility? https://www.tp-link.com/en/technology-libra...b-connectivity/ This post has been edited by PRSXFENG: Aug 28 2021, 07:09 PM |
