wouldn't recommend alterseat. Their recline is locked to 3 positions, it is better to get one that is free range so you can adjust to your comfort.
There is no dimension for this chair from the main site, but their seat's height adjustment is quite limited (for the class 4 gas lift) due to the smaller gas lift that they opted.

Thank you for the advice.

Is there any other chair options that is around the above specification (full adjustment) and pricing (~rm700~rm900+-) to recommend?
Preferably office ergonomic type chair.

Or the remaining two (MerryFair Fulkrum and Bristol Kaya) is good enough?

Indeed. I just got the Alterseat CG-07, the height adjustment from ground to top of seat is between 38.5CM to 45.0CM only. Fortunately, the adjustment is just nice for my height (165CM).

same class 4 gas lift as dt330 prime then. which is really short, not sure what is their R&D team thinking doh.gif

the adjustment that you mean is recline adjustment? or height?

I based on opinion based on the chair that I own (DT 330 Prime), I didn't went to try for Merryfair and Bristol's chair though so can't comment on it

height adjustment. For myself I prefer the upright position, so not using much of the reclining function

my recommendation is to measure the height of the table you are using at home. then request them to adjust the height of the table in the showroom for you to fully test out the ergonomics of the chair, make sure that you can type/ write comfortably

depends on your table height, so ymmv.

Anyway, you should refer to the image below, the arm rest should be parallel to your table, and shoulder should not feel stress when you put your elbow on the armrest.

How to know whether there's stress or not, you put your elbow down on the armrest vs without, and you see if there's additional tension or not on your shoulder.

If there is additional tension/stress then the chair is too low.

EDIT: oh and one more thing, its actually better to sit at 110 to 130 degree, sitting 90 degree gives your back a lot of stress

No, don't waste your money on this. Similar to JÄRVFJÄLLET only. Cushion will turn hard even less than a year and difficult to clean after a while.

So, the chairs that I know within RM700 range are:

1. Alterseat DT-330 PRIME
2. Merryfair Anggun

My height is 177 cm.

Any more recommendation for price within RM700~, pros and cons that I should watch for these two chairs? I'm not living at Klang Valley, so cannot go their store to test one. It's a gamble that I need to take.

How good is the headrest?

Additionally, from what I read, some of you guys managed to get some discount with Merryfair Anggun on Whatsapp. How did you guys get that?

Alterseat recommended for people with shorter legs, my wife 170CM feel like squatting on the DT330/ CG-700/ CG-07 with the upgraded gas lift

Totally don't recommend DT 330 Prime until they get a taller gas lift, their class 4 gas lift is too short

Was comparing real hard between Merryfair and Alterseat due to the warranty. Merryfair 5 years warranty on the chair mechanism but not include wear and tear of cushion and sunken seat. However Alterseat cover these and its 10 years warranty somemore. I was quite surprised that Alterseat covered even wear and tear.

in the end, i chose Anggun as the WhatsApp customer care contact gave me additional 20% discount. So i got the chair with headrest at RM528, which i think it's a pretty good deal. Furthermore, i will be using this at home, not office. WFH will probably be temporary and at most until mid of 2021, so the chair will most likely be in good condition even after 5 years. Another plus is the design which i quite like the honey orange cushion and grey mesh compared to all black office chair design tongue.gif

chair will arrive in 10 days, hopefully it will be a good one. will update again by then. icon_rolleyes.gif

How did you manage to get the 20% discount for Anggun?

it's actually decent, the foam they used are quite comfortable, seat depth is good, just that the lumbar support is too low and the headrest restricts a little bit
