Greetings,

I've got a question. My set cant seem to connect using the bluetooth. Other phones can see my phone but cant connect, and my phone cant even search for other phones.

Any ideas?
Yes I did on the bluetooth option, ticked the make my device discoverable to others box.

Dopod 838pro and HTC Tytn is the same lar..
just that at that time HTC has not acquired Dopod, so they each came out with their own name for the 838pro..

O2 Zinc has a faster processor of 520mhz compared to 838pro's 400mhz..
O2 Zinc uses a miniSD compared to 838pro using a microSD..
other than that, its almost similar...

I found this Flash SMS software which was specially made for HTC TyTN aka 838p

You might want to try it

http://www.stickler.de/downloads/FlashSMS.CAB

FlashSMS is an easy-to-use software to send flash SMS messages right from your windows mobile powered smartphone (WM5 or better required). Flash SMS messages are equal to normal SMS messages except that they appear directly on the mobile display without selecting the message after receiving it. Sometimes Flash SMS messages are displayed in a fancy way f.ex. automatically scrolling on the mobile screen or similar effects.

Target mobile phone numbers can be directly taken from the Pocket-Outlook addressbook. Note: the target phone number must be entered in international format (see screenshot).

The Software has been tested on a HTC TyTN smartphone. There is no guarantee for any functionality. The author takes no responsibilty for any damage or cost caused by the usage of this software.

In other word, when you request for balance via *126# , etc, you get a flash SMS, this is what it does, please let me know if it works

838pro is a PDA phone ler..
so sound and base quality wise, you can't compare lar..
if you're using it for MP3, then you should go for SE Walkman phones.. smile.gif

Does your 838pro come with WM6 or WM5?
upgrade to Ryan's rom thumbup.gif
but at your own discretion, cos it will void the warranty..

btw, Congrats!! on your purchase... rclxms.gif

Thanks tinkerfy , yeah i saw Ryan`s rom pretty cool but i dunno how to upgrade it , any side effects of upgrading ROM ? Shud i upgrade now or wait 1 year after warranty finish ?

Hi llk , i`m planning to get it actually but i heard using bluetooth uses more power so i prefer getting myself a jack converter and a headphone . Btw where can i get the Audio Manager software ? Thanks rclxms.gif
