i've flashed my 838pro to K's Rom already. But my computer doesn't detects it after that. The active sync just doesnt show up lol.

what is happening

Does 838pro have the HTC video driver issue too?

i am facing one problem now.

My laptop will stop syncing with my dopod 838pro after a while . It doesn't happen when i sync my dopd 577w.

I'm using activesync 4.5 . But it just will automatically lose connection with my pc after a while

can u further let me know wat rom are u using? i know a software with ppc, u can send sms to ppl and it will auto delete upon reading

Brothers! i need help!.
Recently, my phone has been experiencing LCD problem
Its like when I touch the screen, the alignment is way off and no matter where i press, the censor will appear in a fix spot.
I think i have to change the whole LCD already,kindly advice regarding the price or advice what I shud do!thx!

bro quinn, r u Dopod 838pro wizard? haha, thanks for the heads up, not sure if its really working though , so far so good .

I installed TCPMP , and it claimed that it can play most video files , but i tried with Mpeg4 , FLV , WMV , all failed . it says it is not supported .

My Camera problem is now resolved , i only need to soft reset to make it stablilized. Will get it fixed soon

mr Quinn, does that fix applies to HTC TyTN II too??

Is that the original Rom from dopod? Can u try hard reset? Make sure u do full backup first.

No im not a wizard. Just reading a lot and it's common problem ppl face. If you love your baby, u just got to learn how to take care of it
And yes TCPMP should play all of it. Go to Settings and check the boxes. And do install the ATIfix if you are using the ROM from HTC. If you are using Schap / K's / la la la.. rom, it should be installed already. For TCPMP to play FLV, do read back a few pages, i posted how to play flv file there.

My 838pro dopod got into accident last wednesday.. i fall from motobike and i put my dopod in my pocket. the lcd screen got pecah and got some scratch in front of my dopod.

But it still can be turned on, can be sync, in short word i can say, internally fine. it just that the screen is pecah.

I think somebody is interested to buy if he/she got spare part of this.. because my 838pro is very good condition, its just that lcd is pecah..

Anybody know how much would it cost for me to replace touchscreen lcd and housing? or maybe its time to let it go?

Anyone using K's Rom here?

I realised i had problem with my keyboard lol . Its partially remapped . Example like if i press Fn+S , supposed it come out with " but instead it come out with _ .

Do i need to patch anything for good?

download, go to keyboard, and set it to english or 8525 layout (something like that). it should solve your problem

Trade in 838pro, Do u all know much do u able to get?
Today i when to lowyat plaza HTC roadshow they offer to trade in my 838pro for only RM600.
I bought it at RM3k now only RM600. Sigh!
