Should be getting my PS5 tomorrow and at the moment I still have my PS4 Pro and PS4 fat. Haven’t really thought on whether I want to sell them off or not. At the moment I’m just loaning my PS4 to my friend for free.
Sell or give the PS4 fat to friends or relatives. As for PS4 pro, keep it since its production line already terminated. Also just in case if your upcoming PS5 has any issue and need to send for claim warranty in future, you still can play with your PS4 pro.

Yeah, I think I’ll keep it. My PS3 is also in a cupboard near the TV as well. Haha. I did give my PS2 to a young cousin before though. Don’t remember what happened to my PS1.

Well, most likely it will. According to latest report, the ssd expansion download will include an update where the fan speed is auto adjustable based on software. From here we can expect the ssd expansion will add up the heat.

Nah. Most likely both KLCC and Curve (especially KLCC) will have more units compare to elsewhere. If you are wiling to queue early at these 2 locations, sure you will get one. The only problem is you never know how many people are wiling to queue this round. Now is CMCO in KL, so most likely it will be A LOT.

For you guys who keep saying better wait for PS5 slim or PS5 Pro, why you think that it will be much easier to get one by that time? When the Slim or Pro release, the same shortage will appear, the same scalpers will return. By then, you probably will say better wait for PS6. So ya. The history will repeat itself.

Guys one stupid question - I decided to sell my PS4 to someone I know personally, so didn't really factory reset. I just deleted some games but not the profiles. Didn't download 20 free games either. Is there a chance Sony will ban my PS5? The only thing that may be suspicious to Sony is there's now a new profile piggybacking my PS plus membership in PS4
To avoid any possible conflicts in future, I suggest you to format it. It will take around 2-3 hours. No matter how close you are to the one you sold to, you will never know what he/she will do on your account. Even he promise he won't touch your profile, words are cheap. You cannot guarantee that. So don't be lazy lah. Just format the PS4 for peace of mind.
Thanks for the input 🙏 But I forgot to mention, my profiles are locked. He needs passcodes to enter into the profiles. Would that change your advise or reckon just go ahead with format?
There's some illegal methods to get into your profile if he really wants to. And also, what if he is boring with the PS4 and decides to sell itto another stranger in future? You will never know. So ya. Just go ahead with format. Just treat it as like you sell your old phone. Format everything. Don't leave any trace and track. This is the universal rule for selling 3C products that involved with personal data.
Btw, I also sold my PS4 slim to my brother in law after I bought my PS5. I removed all the games and the themes I installed. I also deleted my account and profile. However, I didn't just stop at there. In the end, I formatted it. It's not that I don't trust my brother in law. But better be safe rather than sorry. I don't want our relationship be compromised due to a console. Lol

If they are small, and you do play games with your kids, then you should just go for Nintendo switch instead. It has many family themes games that suitable for kids and family gaming.

I see. Then go for Nintendo Switch first. I am sure your kid will hook up to it in no time since the portability is excellent. Only consider PS4/PS5 when your kids grown up to like 16-18 years old since most of their games are more towards mature and violence themes.

The console itself got scalped, this I understand. But the dualsense controller as well? What the hell. We are living in a scalping society or what?
Super lucky that I got my PS5 since day one launch. Peace of mind. If not, it would be a long nightmare. At this moment every thing that related to PS5 you have to fight with the others. Have to wait in front of the screen and grab any opportunities you can find everytime something new is released. So stressful.
So what is next to scalp? Color plate? SSD expansion? Crazy~

Just finished last of us remaster on PS5 now make feel like going for last of us 2 but do you guys that it will coming to PS5 as a remaster version? Also ghost of Tsushima 🤔 wonder should I play it now or wait for PS5 remaster
Last of us part 1 will have PS5 remaster/remake version in future.
Last of us part 2 had no remaster plan so far.
Ghost of Tsushima will have PS5 director cut version soon.
Just wish Sony will quickly unlock that internal expandable storage this summer. Tempted to buy an external SSD but I think I'll just save up that cash and channel that $$ towards an internal SSD when they finally unlock it. Critically running out of storage despite owning a disc console. I don't have any old SSDs lying around but only a mechanical HDD which I'm using to transfer PS4 games and it's painfully slow. Wonder how the digital edition owners manage their storage.
Digital edition owner here. Very simple. Just install one single game and only play this game until finish. Then delete and install another new game. Not a fan of playing multiple game at the same time. Been practicing this since PS4. Using unifi 500Mbps. Download speed is superior. So even if I want to replay certain game, I just redownload it in no time. However, I have a lot of back log to finish, like 30+ new games in my library, and the number keep increasing year by year. So I have no time to replay finished games. LoL.
