Comparison between the new revisioned PS5 and old PS5. They are trying to figure out why the new one is lighter.


For people who lazy to watch. The answer is the new one is using much smaller heatsink hence it's lighter in weight. Good or bad? No idea. But cutting the heatsink by half? Sounds like a bad move.

I guess it's safe to say that the revisioned PS5 is the "cost down" PS5.


Other differences: fans design, wifi module.

Don't think so. Most likely they cost down due to the rising price of copper material. According to the reports, copper material cost increased by 40%. So I guess it's unavoidable.

That's weird. Everyone knows that PS5 have some issues with 2.4GHZ wifi signal when it comes out. And we always thought that the new version PS5 would at least fix this issue, like changing the wifi module. But now they are going to do the opposite way and left out the 2.4GHz wifi users to suffer? What are you doing Sony?

Hopefully Digital Foundry will do some technical analysis on the new version PS5 so that we can have better understanding on this new change (for future buyers).

Samsung Fold 3 (12+512) official pricing in Malaysia is RM7099. Not to mention that this new phone is still not yet released in Malaysia. The phone will only arrive here around end of Sept. So 2nd hand or AP set are not applicable to this case.

And he is selling the new phone at RM4699. Conclusion? Definitely a scam.


However, it seems that Cash on Delivery is available. I guess whoever with brave heart can try that. Not sure if you can choose to pay only after unboxing the parcel on the spot.

Hi bro. There's another case which is similar to your case, was being reported in a chinese forum. He registered few local accounts, all were banned instantly. Malaysian edition console, brand new, all legit. At the end, he succesfuly registered, with Hong Kong PSN account. Not sure why he can only access via HK account isntead of MY account. Anyway, he didn't bother with it he decided to stick with the HK account since then. That's all.

Anyone in here bought Lost Judgment Deluxe edition? The Deluxe edition owner supposed to be able to play the game 3 days ealier than the Standard edition owner. But somehow I keep getting install error. Already redownloaded twice. Same error. PS5 version. Checked Mr.Google. Apparently most Deluxe editon owners are facing the same issue. According to them, this happened after the day 1 patch update.

Frustrated. Shame on you Sega.

Most likely, it will be getting more expensive, at least for first half year of 2022. Why? Very simple.

1. Cny is approaching. More demands during festive season.

2. More and more AAA titles releasing in 2022. More demands from people who can't wait to play.

Don't get me wrong. It's not that I am supporting scalpers. But that's the reality. Blame the COVID and chipset shortage. Fortunately, I got my PS5 during the first preorder. But why I want to play it on PS4 while knowing that there's a better console to play with?

My advice. If you can wait, just wait. If you cannot wait, then go ahead to buy from scalper. It's your own call. No one should judge you.

Dont think Sony would simply ban people without any reason. Did you ask them what's the reason? Did them answer you?

Your friend also getting banned because of playing division 2 too? If so, then there's something fishy about that game. Better avoid that game first and look for possible solution.

I only know that users may get banned in online game if they misbehave in chatroom or disturb other gamers via chat/PM (if the gamer files complaint to Sony). Didn't know that Sony can simply ban users without any prior warning. This is weird. Could be a game system glitch/bug. Hope you can get your account back soon.

So today I noticed there's 2 different price tag for HFW standard in PSN.

RM249 for PS4 version and free upgrade to PS5 version.

RM299 for PS4 and PS5 version.

So this is a no brainer. I have PS5 and of course I must play this on my PS5. But I can just buy the PS4 version first, and then getting the free upgrade to PS5 version at no extra cost. And this can save me RM50. Am I right guys?

Ah. I don't know since I didn't switch on my PS5 today. Ok. I will switch on later and see if the PS4 version is available in the PSN. Will report my founding later.

Yes. Last week I checked they listed down the PS4 version ONLY for RM249. Today when I want to pre-order, they changed it and stated PS4 version for RM249 and free upgrade to PS5 version at no extra cost. But at the same time, they also provide the RM299 for PS4 and PS5 version. Don't know it's a bug or a trap. Some youtubers did make a hoo-haa on this few days ago. Here's one of them.





Of course most people will choose the free upgrade one and save that RM50. But at the same time, I also worry that this is a glitch and Sony may screw this up and end up with no free upgrade. It's hard to believe that Sony would put 2 different price tags for the exact same thing at the same time. They assume we are generous enough and would choose the more expensive one instead?

Ya I guess that will be the safest bet. I actually wanted to check the pre-order and see if the pre-order bonus is worthy or not. Looks like we will only get outfit and gear from last HZD. May be I will just skip the pre-order first. Still got one more day to think of before the official launch.

If for pre-order, I always do it before the last day of pre-order. Just in case if they would change any terms before the launching.

WtF! They really hide the RM249 option from PS5 PSN store. What a dick move!


So I have to pull out my old PS4 pro and buy from there, then get the free upgrade on my PS5. I already put my PS4 pro into box and keep it in the store room. Now I have to take it out and unbox again. Malaslah...........

Oh ya. I realized that I can also purchase through the PSN website. Nevermind. Wait first. May be they will change again soon.

I know. But I have no interest on the pre-order bonus. So no hurry.

2 possible scenarios for me.

1. If the 400+ game list have more than 5 games that I have interest to play, then I will go for extra plan.

2. May just upgrade to deluxe plan. But still waiting for the instructions on how to play ps1 and 2 games on PS5/PS4. Hopefully can play on PS4 as well, so that I can take out my old ps4 pro and play on my old 1080p monitor. Ps5/4 games on 4k monitor and ps1/2 games on fhd monitor, easy for my gaming setup. If they only allow us to play those old games on PS5, then I may not consider it. Don't think my eyes can accept ps1 and 2 games quality on 4k monitor. Lol.

Honestly, I have no idea on how they will implement the new service. But I know one thing for sure, which is, never underestimate Sony's capability on screwing things up. Try to look at how they implemented that (not user-friendly) vrr update recently, it makes me feel that Sony doesn't really care about the users convenience. So I won't be surprised at all if they make ps1/2 games available only on PS5.

Anyway, still too soon to speculate anything. After all, the damn list is still not yet out. We will just have to wait and see, and hope for the best.

According to Sony, the current list is just a part of it. The full list of games may be revealed during the official launch day. You can decide by that time.
