actually it's a pretty scarce model of beyerdynamic headphone..pretty hard to find

but i think you can see them on ebay around USD180 without shipping. so let's just say it's USD200++

lol..you should try dt250, or buy one biggrin.gif it's a huge upgrade from your dt231, which i think sounds bassy and muffled *no offense though, just trying to give suggestion smile.gif and dt250/80 is pretty easy to drive as well. straight out from ipod or cowon sounds nice already

btw, is there any audiophilers here who live around JB or Skudai? i feel looonelyy heeereeee.. tongue.gif

edit: yhong, i know you live in Skudai at the moment. this question is subjected to other members here. lol

ms1i has no soundstage. lol

eventhough dt250 is closed headphone, it has bigger soundstage than ms1i. it also has the smoothest midrange i've ever heard. vocals, details, and clarity is among the best in the price range too..*i'm ex-ms1i user tongue.gif

i have not heard dt440 directly, but as per my friend who posses this headphone said, the level of dt440 is pretty much the same with ms1i, good sounding headphone and fun to listen, just a matter of preference only..not for serious or critical listening.

dt250 level is above both ms1i and dt440

btw, i think dt250 price in jaben is a little bit more expensive since they are providing warranty..so the price is still reasonable

yea I know you being sarcastic... in fact most of them are like this tongue.gif
they always refer ms-1 as no soundstage which is wrong as it still have soundstage for those who have never tried other good headphones

you don't need crossroad edge for dt231, it's just pointless..beyer designed this headphone to go portable, yet you are amplifying it with desktop amp. besides, this headphone doesn't improve significantly with amplifier. believe me, i've been there. ha ha ha

if you're looking for good cheap headphone that improves a lot with amping, you should try superlux hd668B or hd669. those are one hell of heavy to drive cans eventhough the price tag is onle RM100++ and damn good sounding too wink.gif *hd668B sounds distorted and very bad without proper amping, which require desktop amp
