hahaha it depends. a couple of people have heard and loved the beyer T1 pairing with my tiny tube. you may or may not like it but the important thing is just to meet together and chat about our audio journey, which is why i enjoy hosting meets.

if your friend is who i think he is, he sold the T5p actually, not the T1. coz his T5p didn't stand a chance against my T1.

Added on November 14, 2011, 8:32 ami personally would say get your player first. then try and see if it can power the 250ohms DT770/DT880, depending on your preference. if its possible, then get the 250ohms while funding for your amp. the 250ohms will allow you to scale more later with an amp rather than the 32ohms.

I have a friend who runs his DT880/600 directly out from his macbook pro while funding for an amp for 6months.

it depends on your taste. if you like bass, the dt770 would be better. dt880 is brighter and more neutral than dt770 & dt990.

for many reasons, i would say uber muzik tiny tube is a very good match with the dt880.

i listen to music ranging from metal to opera to orchestral to rock, pop and electronic on my DT880. to me, it has sufficient bass.

but again sufficient for me may or may not mean that you'd find it sufficient. you can add bass or use tubes, ultimately, it depends on your personal preference.

its very hard for me to say they are okay or not okay because my personal preference may not be inline with your preference.

to me, dt880 is okay with most if not all of the current pop artists but again, because my amp is tuned to my preference, so they are definitely ok.

no idea, as i'm not a fan of Fiio products. Tried their amps sometime ago and i feel that there are better alternatives to them.

now all you need is to try the DT880 with tubes.

even dt880 /32ohms sounds good with tubes.

Each to his own poison. some prefer ATs, some swear by Beyers while others will die for Senns.

i think the bass of the DT880 is one of its most unrecognized factors. its "bass light" compared to something like the denon D7000, but when the music calls for it, the bass is definitely there. and it is the clean tight bass with no leakage, instead of the boomier bass of other cans. its bass quantity may not be as much as others, but for the DT880, its all about bass quality.
