oh okay, ya he sold off his audinst because TTD is a better amp than the audinst and he got tube poisoned by me. =p

hahaha yep its a solid state, but amp/dac combo selling at usd499. the big big DAC that you listened to in my room is also from Audio-Gd.
their stand alone amp C-2.2 is usd365.

hehe enjoy your DT880. i'll let you know when the NOS tubes for the TTD arrive in KL. can almost guarantee you a upgrade in sound. heh heh at least nobody so far has complained. brows.gif

evilnickwong,

1. get the 80ohms version.
2. get the 250ohms, try with your soundcard, decide later if you want to sell the DT770 or buy a new sound card.

if you have no plans to get a headphone amp or new soundcard, i would suggest just getting the 80ohms version.

i think the D1 headphone out is SS, only if you use the tube out then you'll make use of the tube buffer stage.

DT880 /250 or DT880 /600 or T1. don't fight it anymore, bro... or you want to try T1 with TTD again? hehehe and i've got the v2 of TTD now, with even more power than the v1.

the tubes that i am using for TTD cost about RM70 although i've just ordered two which costs about RM150 each.

@FaezFarhan, like what aztio said, each tube has its own signature, so it depends on what kind of sound and signature 'improvement' that you are looking for.

me personally i like warm and lush tubes, so i pair my T1 and TTD with tubes from Brimar, Mullard or GE/Sylvania.

however i've gotten tubes telefunken and amperex this time just to roll and see what kind of sound they give me.
