QUOTE(noobandroid @ Sep 17 2011, 03:18 PM) noted with thanks, sadly i dont have the finance for all the above.. maybe will have to go for 440, amp up with E11 to govibe usb dac to comp can consider:1. get dt440 to decide if you really like the beyer sig 2. if you do, then next amp upgrade (eg: stepdance) 3. get dt880 /250 4. get a mid to top line DAC (eg: meier stageDAC) 5. get T1 6. meier concerto amp upgrade & you'll end up with a pretty good setup already 2.1 if you don't like the dt440 sig, call hongrui to TT again with T1. 3.1 then refer to above. 600ohms will definitely sound better. but if your amp can't drive, then you have to decide if you want to upgrade amp first or upgrade headphones first lo.
price wise... i suspect you are looking at the 250 pro version and 32/600 premium version. |

choose the 600 or 250 version. no point in getting the 32ohms version.

your current headphones, SRH440 don't really need an amp. i'd say to up headphones first. then amp, and then lastly DAC. or headphones then a amp/dac combo.

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Sep 20 2011, 03:55 PM) Uber muzik will be releasing a new dac/amp combo in the near future. price should be within your budget. but another one that i think is worth trying at your budget is Audio Gd NFB5. but output of 150mw @600ohms, i'm not sure if its enough to drive the 600ohm beyers. probably have to check out head-fi. http://www.audio-gd.com/PriceList.htm |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Sep 20 2011, 04:27 PM) so shud we take pro or premium? i don't like coiled cables, so i would take premium. SQ wise, i don't think there will be that much difference. Added on September 20, 2011, 4:28 pmi dont understand the part 150mw at 600 ohm, means what, not enough power to drive? so at least what rating? Added on September 20, 2011, 4:29 pmi see tubes can drive 600s easier, so how now? confused.. 150mw at 600ohms is the power output of the amp when connected to a headphones of 600ohms impedance. I'm not sure what is Beyer's power requirement as that spec is not listed. tubes mostly have higher output, but like the NFB10WM, the power output is 590MW @ 600ohms. just that its price is 'slightly' out of your range. |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Sep 20 2011, 05:17 PM) how bout like ur uber muzic? or something like little dot q? or my current dac and amp can do the trick? the uber muzik tiny tube (TTD) is getting an upgraded DAC pcb soon, the v2 have to hear then can comment . little dot Q no idea how good or bad it is. Added on September 20, 2011, 5:32 pmthe D1 magic looks so drooling loo. omg Added on September 20, 2011, 5:56 pmi think i should worry now which ohm to take, amps still can wait couple months D1 headphone out is not connected to the tube, you need to connect the tube out to another amp to make use of the tube. uber muzik TTD sounds better than D1 to my ears. heh heh you decide on which ohm then we figure out on how to change your setup. |

unfortunately, nope. the TTD can drive up to 300ohms. with 600ohms, you get volume but lack dynamics. i'm hoping the v2 TTD will be better though.
