Quick check, any noticeable difference in future proofing by upgrading to a 16gb unified memory for the 13 incher with 512gb? I am researching and not much tangible afterthoughts

Upgrading the base 13” with 16/512 would come up to 7,199..why not just go for base 14” mbp M1 pro which will be a much better future proof machine?

Yes, only if you are running heavier workloads such as photo editing using large image file sizes and video editing usually with 4K. If 1080p, I can't tell the difference between my M1 8Gb ram or my other M1 with 16Gb ram.

Placed order for a Macbook Pro 13, but I'm confused. Says delivers Nov 12, but arrives in Nov 17-19. Which one is the actual arrival date to my doorstep?
It's shipping from China via DHL if it helps.

Nahhh, the features and improvements of the 14 inch is too vast that the additional weight and thickness can be neglected. Also u will get used to the weight eventually. yes its heavier than the 13 inch, but its not to the extent that one will feel fatigue from carrying the 14 inch around 😂. Reviewers tend to exaggerate when it comes to the weight, same goes to the weight of the iphone 13 vs 12

Better processor and graphics
Better speakers
Better keyboard
Ports
Magsafe
Better display
Better webcam

At the end of the day, based on past experiences, the dates tend to change. Since it is coming from China, they build in some buffers in case of any issues especially when it comes to shipping.

Have to agree everything is better in the new mbp 14”, weight is definitely heavier but it’s not an iPad where you held on hand when use, the table or lap takes the weight so it’s not too bad, and that extra weight wouldn’t break your shoulder or arm when you carry them around in the bag…

Only reason I could think people still go with the previous model is the hate for the notch (which could be disabled in settings), and the price (base model vs base model)..

ignored the expected delivery date. The delivery date should follows the invoice. And you'l probably receive it earlier.

Ignore the eta dates, once your item is being shipped (after bank clear the funds and appear on your transaction history), you will receipt an official receipt from Apple, with an accurate delivery date on top of the invoice, that should be the delivery date and it’s usually accurate..

i just bought a MBP, any tips for the battery? Also, im now confused whether its okay for me to just sleep my laptop and only shut it down when im not using it for a long time. Some said its totally fine to do this but the others recommend to shut down every night 😅

My personal experience: shut down if not using it for a long time. And i always plug in the charging while using, only unplug when not using.

the million dollar question, when is it coming biggrin.gif nobody seems to have an answer for now, but we believe it will be within 2 weeks from now, or at least before December (fingers crossed) other countries already get them so we should be next in line really soon..

when are you leaving the country?
