I'm using the free version.

How to calibrate? The fullcharge > deplete battery?

Restarted.. it goes to 87 initially and back to 86.

Internal battery optimisation... in the Battery settings?

yes, a bit warm but still acceptable
i use hdmi for presentation purpose only, so only use for <1 hour, a but warm la, long term use i dont know
but i suppose all usb hubs will create some heat
*
Even 1 hour can cause the hub warms, then more than 6 hours, the hub gonna be another level lol...
I hope hot usb hubs wont damage the laptop :')

What's your charge limit % setting? did you accidentally changed it?

I mean the reason why you're using AlDente is to prevent the battery sitting at full charge if you use it plugged all the time

so why would you want it to go back to 100% when the mac goes to sleep?

the only time you want a full charge if that you need to work outside without power for several hours hmm.gif

I do intend to not fully charge the macbook
Just curious with the apps as it won't work when the laptop goes to sleep.
Before this, there's time when it'll charge to 100 when i forgot to turn off the charger.
But it's not happening just now...

is this still recommended over M2 MBA?

the price difference is one of the consideration, but consider this is a 2020 product by Apple, typically will the support will end anytime soon to support the M2 MBA?

Support for it won't end anytime soon (subjective) but it definitely means it will end 2 years earlier compared to the MBA M2. If you are worried about lifecycle and support, just get the MBA M2 and not be worried about support periods. Honestly, most Macbooks run for long time and even after support. There are plenty of 3rd party repair shops as well around here who are able to help with repairs and stuff.

Me.

If you didn't bundle the AppleCare Protection Plan (APP) during the purchase, you only can call the Apple Support to add the APP to your device.

They will add the APP to your device, then you will receive an email from Apple, you click the "Pay Securely" link inside the email and make payment (RM799.00), wait 1-2 days, you will see your coverage extended here.

I see, okay thanks mate.

In that case, I will have to call them to do so for me already.
