Mind share how did non-Maybank merchant get own Duitnow QR?
*
DuitNow QR is a national QR schemes, banks and e-wallet players has onboarded on DuitNow QR.
So, DuitNow QR is not Maybank exclusive

Today, i tried to scan a merchant's Malaysia National DuitNow QR code with my TnG ewallet but it showed that a message that the code is not valid. Located below the QR code, it stated HL Bank.

I thought that DuitNow QR means any of the participating banks and ewallet can scan the QR code, no?

Sarawakpay will work on its network, you scan the merchant QR, it will be directed to Payment to merchant or Fund Transfer automatically.

I believe it will be similar to Duitnow QR in the future (most likely next phase), Duitnow QR will automatically detect it is a payment to merchant or Fund Transfer to Bank/Wallet account.

BTW I just found that a Boost merchant can now display a Duitnow QR (merchant), but I haven't tried if I can use TNG ewallet / Shopeepay to pay the Boost merchant via Duitnow.

Just wanna double cfm

As long as the Duitnow QR code that the merchant display is the pink one then it means I can scan and pay with any ewallet/banks that already support DuitNow QR right?

Does matter who the merchant partner is/ what "cover" or "frame" the QR code is in right?

Yes. Been scanning these codes from all sorts of “banner” or “cover” to my TnG. And it will go thru and show transaction is a “DuitNow” transaction.

You can get the Duitnow QR (merchant) service from Maybank (Formerly Maybank QR Pay), CIMB, Public Bank, RHB, Boost. If you choose Maybank, then you will get the money from Maybank, regardless the customers are using Boost, Grabpay, TNG, ShopeePay, so you don't have to deal with so many ewallet operators. If I am not wrong, there are some sign-up campaigns, can win prizes every month. Hehe.

yeah. think about it. reading both Maybank(not really want because my own QRPay on phone not functioning doh.gif ) and Pbbank. Maybe look at other bank too.
Currently using unified payment system with 1-2% charge. So thinking this will be better.
But in statement i cannot find about how we know we received $$ from customer or not? Must use register number or can install apps only see payment lik other unified payment.

Anyone using merchant QRPay... Give me some tips

why specific to "duitnow QR"?

DNQR is just a medium/method of fund usage.

afaik, IRB doesnt actively track everyone for ewallet or banking usage.

the financial regulation lies with BNM to its members (FI or banks) with due diligence in reporting of activities conducted by their business, eg Suspicious Transaction Report (STR), etc.

doing in phases.

PayNet "forces" banks to go first, suppose to go live in 2018, but kept delaying sweat.gif

Phase 1: Licensed banking and financial institutions
Banks,
Investment Banks,
Islamic Banks; or
Prescribed Development Financial Institutions

Phase 2 or later: Non-Financial entities (“Non-Banks”)
An Eligible Issuer of E-Money; or
An Approved Issuer of a Designated Payment Instrument; or
A Registered Merchant Acquirer
