Believe or even though I'm the one started this thread I haven't bought the TV haha.

I'm still deciding between this model and x9000h but I'm looking at 65 inches which tcl don't have stock for this model. Compared to x9000h, will c716 PQ be better or Sony wins?

TCL is HDR certified but this particular TV model is not .


To get HDR certification from UHD Alliance , an LCD TV would need full array local dimming system , which is absent in this specific model .
It needs to achieve 1000 cd/m2 , in which TV without F.A.L.D can't do .

TCL C716 is listed to have 330 cd/m2 typical brightness in its specification sheet , so at least they are honest .

Anyone know successfully installed Astro Go app on their TCL TV?

Tried this morning and failed to Astro V1.1 beta, 8.2.6 and 2.2.

1.1 Beta, blank screen when try to authentication access, I think the app failed to access certain feature check for rooted.

8.2.6, the screen rotated 90 degree and cant detect internet, I was using LAN.

2.2, it stopped and popped up message use app from play store. Which Google play don't have the app for TCL tv.

AstroGO working only on some Sharp and Sony TV's only.

I'm quite happy with the tv. Even not satisfied with the size. But so far watch Netflix so syok with 5.1 surround speaker.
The perfect electric store still haven't refund my 55 inch. So frastuared

I'm using the air mouse remote on my TCL C716 TV. When I'm using it, at around 5 - 10 minutes, suddenly my tv screen will turn off / sleep. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? When I'm using the original tv remote, nothing of such happens.

First check in Bluetooth section if you need to "pair" mouse with TV.
Second, Off your sleep timer (or adjust longer time) in Screensaver.
Original remote is probably paired with TV.

Viewing angle are as any VA panel. Can see in many review on YouTube.
