Onvia I think is rebranded Tuya brows.gif

For Tuya alarm better wait for Sigmesh version.

wireless alarm sensors already use RH433 or 315 MHz for decades. So the connection stability already proven.

compare 8channels 5Mp set .. hikvision price double the dahua price ...both brand are from china also ?
in term of durable ..which better ?
thanks ..
*
you have to compare their specs, see if equivalent, else the price different would not be so big.

Durability very depend, since now cctv become a fast moving product.

Oh, sorry did not realised you ask for analog. Anyway Analog also can used Video balun to transmit power/signal via Cat6/Cat5e. But IPC also very cheap now. Why don't you go for POE NVR+IPC.

Ethernet cable can transmit power and data. All the new IP cameras are POE (power over ethernet) so nth new about this already. But for your case i think you are using analog which is diff.

Just curious, this package looks very cheap. But are you installing it yourself or get someone to do it? If it is the latter, how much roughly would it be? Ballpark.

Not sure what's the work involved. I guess depends on if you do internal wiring and if more power points needed. Basically want to find out roughly the price diff if we get the same solution from a vendor plus installation vs we buy and DIY ourselves. I may be moving too and new house is double storey terrace. Need to install quite comprehensive security alarm and camera.

Yes, POE will be much neater. 5Mp IPC cost very much higher than Analog and normally distributor keep less stock of IP based system due to higher cost therefore only have sales on Analog in Shopee.

They have been saying that for the last 10 years! Now even have 4k analog, guess as long as there's demand it will never go away!
