Personally I'm looking at Hikvision and AJAX system. For a terrace house, it's about 3-4k for Hikvision, 5-6k for AJAX, both DIY, the vendors are charging too much for installation and a big margin over every devices.
*
Alarm better not used HIK. Ajax ok.

since you are renovating, please lay the cable.
you can still choose to use wireless later

but dont lay cable now, cannot u turn jor.
from what i used before, those wireless alarms for my office. end up abandon

1. using obscure 12V remote control battery
2. operate at 433mhz  which is easily intefere with other people autogate.
3. you wont know if the sensor is alive or not. maybe test today it works, tomorrow battery dead.
4. very limited sensor types. eg the glass break sensor may not be as adjustable. wireless motion IR is impossible to due to the high power consumption.
5. almost no way to upgrade. if one sensor fail, very expensive to replace, if its even available.
*
Friend this is year 2020. They even have Sigmesh wireless alarm now.
And most of the those wireless sensors comes with battery/device status.

Is the decoder supporting online viewing via mobile apps?
If yes, will just upgrade with newer decoder and CCTV with better resolution.
Then replace wired alarm system to wireless which easier to manage.
I'm considering ONVIA or BLUGUARD wireless system.
Any feedback or review on the two brands? Or any recommendation for wireless system with good review?
*
Onvia I think is rebranded Tuya brows.gif
QUOTE(henryj8 @ Oct 21 2020, 06:25 PM)
1.Most of the decorder support online viewing via mobile apps. you can look for brand like HIKVISION or DAHUA etc

2. Wireless alarm you can look for 'TUYA SMART/ SMART LIFE  Wireless WIFI/GSM ALARM' at SHOPEE or LAZADA. Definitely the PENG LENG CHENG solutions. biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
*
For Tuya alarm better wait for Sigmesh version.

Onvia set is pricey compared to Tuya. Not sure if they are having similar quality, just the branding and packaging varies?

Sorry, what is Sigmesh version? Please explain as I'm new in this. Thanks!
*
For this if need explanation can PM. Sigmesh is bluetooth mesh.

Thanks for your feedback.
Are you using Dlink system? Any comment? Is it functioning well as compared to other wireless alarm system?
The price is quite affordable and seems good solution to connect all devices/sensors
*
I would not advised to used Dlink if resolution/quality is of importance. They are not a CCTV company so it's just run of the mill products like TPlink, oem from others.

HK, Dahua, Tuya, everything is china product. But again, HK and Dahua is both the world leader in this industry.
*
Can never go wrong with HIK/Dahua for CCTV. Tuya camera kind of sucks!

cat6 not only for network ?cat 6 not built in power cable right?
is it easy the cable built in power cable ..2in1 ..

Oh, sorry did not realised you ask for analog. Anyway Analog also can used Video balun to transmit power/signal via Cat6/Cat5e. But IPC also very cheap now. Why don't you go for POE NVR+IPC.

Not sure what's the work involved. I guess depends on if you do internal wiring and if more power points needed. Basically want to find out roughly the price diff if we get the same solution from a vendor plus installation vs we buy and DIY ourselves. I may be moving too and new house is double storey terrace. Need to install quite comprehensive security alarm and camera.
*
No power points needed for camera, the cable comes with dc jack power from the Silver color PSU.

terrance house just front and rear only ..side no need ...quick straight forward ...
if renovation can conceal the wire ..cable...its look nice ...
but if POe...still need the silver colour PSU?
Poe ..the power from the dvr?
the package worth ?just diy placement camera and cabling job done only right ?
Poe full set package not much sale in shopee ....

thanks ...
*
Yes, POE will be much neater. 5Mp IPC cost very much higher than Analog and normally distributor keep less stock of IP based system due to higher cost therefore only have sales on Analog in Shopee.

then Poe become cheaper...

They have been saying that for the last 10 years! Now even have 4k analog, guess as long as there's demand it will never go away!

haha...4k analog..

so analog still wont face out so soon ..maybeanother 10years..

for my case...installation outside the house wall ..
rg59 with power line better or poe better ?

poe use normal cat6 lan cable ?how about input power to  the camera ?
*
The lan cable will give power+data. If price not an issue go for IP. Quality at least 30% better than analog.

ip 2mp stil better than analog 5mp?

IP can be wired or wireless. 5Mp Analog slightly better but provided the sensors are Sony IMX335 vs IM307.
