Hey guys! Is the iPhone 12 Mini battery life really that bad? I’m using iPhone X currently and has been thinking of changing to IPhone 12 Mini.

i have been using iPhone X for long time, i also find iphone 12 mini form factor is god damn attractive. however, find the screen is still too small for nowadays standard.

i will probably buy it to keep for collection but will not use it for daily driver.

I know right the form factor and weight of it feels so nice of our hands! Maybe need some time to get use to the smaller screen? Because I have a Sharp Aquos R Compact and I always use this phone for Youtube

yes, one maybe able to 'get used' to it if one forces himself too which I believe.

however, if really need to go to that extend, then actually no point becos iphone 12 min and 12 the price gap is really slim.

Hahaha, what’s with companies and iPhone 11? I also got an iPhone 11 company phone... Plan to start using it next month and sell off my 12... Downgrade pulak...

I grabbed my 256GB mini (cause 64GB don't sound sufficient for 4+ years of usage and 128GB no stocks...) for 3.7k-ish.

I think for vanilla 12 it will be significantly higher than that even with sale, and entering the league of "topup a bit get IP 12 pro" game.

As someone rocking 74% battery health IP8, I guess the battery life won't be much any worse than that. Only concern is when 5G is available and 12mini's battery degrading 20% down the line, then might back to 3hours SOT game. My normal practice is to fix and renew my battery 2 years down the ownership.

Now my last worry is whether the 4GB RAM will be the limiting factor of the device few years down the line just like the 2GB RAM did to my IP8. IP8 is still a solid device for me if not for the smaller RAM, wish I had played the topup a bit go IP8 plus game back then.

i wont suggest going for the white silicone bcoz it turns slight yellowish over time, unless u don mind it then go ahead

I do come across some iphone 12 which are hongkong new set with warranty, and the seller tells me that the warranty can be claimed here in malaysia. however, i could not found any info online that iphone support international warranty. Need clarification on this. Thanks!

shopping around Shopee/2nd hand websites - and found many rm2,7k - rm2.9k for unsealed, 1 year apple warranty, brand new units. Too good to be true or can proceed?

any real difference between buy from Switch/Machines?

Still sounds a little too risky for too little savings.

During 27.3, you can get 64GB red mini for RM302X if you have all the discounts factor in.

iPhone rarely have discounts and margin to vendors are smaller than other typical brands, it’s unlikely to find iPhone been selling significantly lower than RRP. Thus your best bet is to get it subsidised by online platforms during big sales.
