Ya meh... up till now i still cannot value the cards i cracked... maybe im stilll noob hahaha.... anytime i crack a booster in prerelease people will intai2 and then approach me if there are valuable cards... thats is how i lost my voidslime to an orzhof pontiff hehe... well after that i keep all my cards to myself and look at net price before trading... heh~

my noob days... isolated... we make a "kampung" rule in my boarding school... ornithopter is played like equipment put it on a creature and it gains flying and +0/+2

in the end we conclude that magic sucks and started playing pokemon... in Ravnica i started back playing back with the REAL rules and this TCG ROCKS!!!

im glad we stick with magic ....  but we did make a kampung rule or should i say  lack of understanding of the game. we played with pen and paper  to write down how many mana we hv ,  cause every turn we will tap out for mana and jot down the amount in the paper regardless. but we learn not to do that gradually hahaha. but i remember 1 night at classroom , it was prep class,  the teacher came by and rampas the magic cards.    he said that it was " jarum-jarum yahudi"  ahhaahhahahahaha

Oh and that happend during the end 1995/early 1996, the revise/fallen empire, and before Ice Age release I think. I still remember those RM6.50 packs in Games Kastle.

Plainswalker - Blue... 4/5 bomb... you can mil 20 meh... deck 40 ny
Plainswalker - White. 3/5 bomb... would be good if u have lots of creature
Plainswalker - Red.... 4/5 bomb... all ability are on average
Plainswalker - green. 5/5 bomb... getting creatures is 1 thing... overrun?? wow
Plainswalker - black. 3/5 bomb... ability mostly for combos

of course this is just my 2 cents... im a noob anyway hahaha...

Well, I still remember what the guy's trade pitch was, after I opened up my starter (It was a revise starter if you want to know, it was during the revise/fallen empire era). It was something like "Hey I want this land of yours. You want to trade?"

He then proceed to bring out one binder full of cards, nicely arranged. He then asked what color I liked to play, and I say probably Red and Blue (I've already learnt how to play and tested a few different decks before buying the starter).

So he says, look, since this land acts like 2 basic land of different type, I will trade you 2 cards in this binder for it. Chose any 2 you like. Oh you liked red, why not you take this Hurloon Minotaur, it's a 3 to cast 2/3, which is larger than what you normally get for 3 mana, and another card. So I ended up with Hurloon Minotaur and.... errr a Homarid I think.

Anyone want to venture a guess as to who that guy is?

Yeap yeap, that's why can get conned. We got awed by the serra angel, force of nature, and the dreaded channel fireball combo, or to lesser extent, the ritual/hypnotic specter, or ritual/hymn burn, or the ritual/ritual/sengir.
