Existing customer but not under contract, yes, will be eligible. Actually, easier for existing customers than new customers, as new customers need to wait for 3 months to build credit score/worthiness with Maxis.

Damn good deal by the way, this Samsung TV. Not sure if Maxis is crazy or really in celebration mood with their 25 anniversary celebrations.

I checked directly with Maxis liao, no oh. The TV belongs to the customer after the expiry of the commitment period. Thus, its supposed to be like a loan scheme, where during the commitment period, the TV doesn't belong to the customer, but to Maxis. After the commitment period (24 months), the TV then only belongs to the customer.
It's similar to their phone scheme, mobile device Zerolution. The Mobile Device Zerolution has a similar T&C clause too. But I'm dead sure customers do not need to return their mobile devices after the end of the Zerolution 24 months contract. A bit confusing nevertheless the way it is worded.

Good for you!!! I still have a few months left on my existing Maxis Fibre contract, darn it.....Hopefully this is still available by early 2021, once my contract ends. Then will certainly sign up for this.

This info is available in the Appendix.
https://www.maxis.com.my/terms-conditions/p.../tv-zerolution/

And its RM1/month for their 500Mbps and 800Mbps plans.
If lower plans, it will be RM79/month.

Given that there is no additional conditions or charges (with the exception of that RM1/month for 24 months), it is certainly worth to get it. Let's put it like this. Prior to today, if one were to sign up for a 500Mbps Maxis Fibre and get a Maxis Postpaid 98, he/she will be paying RM317/month and will not get anything else.
Now, with the same combo and an additional RM1/month for 24 months, which will be RM24 in total, one will be getting a Samsung 65" 4K Smart TV! RRP is RM3,999 but if browse Lazada, it's going for RM3,600 nett.

Initially, I thought that this was a marketing campaign (in collaboration with Samsung) which wanted to clear old stock, but found out that the model that they are giving out, 65TU7000 is actually a year 2020 launched this year!

But since old stock isn't the case, my take now is that this could be a short marketing gimmick with limited stock. Let's see how long it last. Of if not, I think they are seeding the market now so that their customers have this TV, then very shortly, maybe they will launch content services (video on demand) and from there, try to persuade customers to take that up, since already got TV at home (in order to recoup part of the value of the TV).

Just my wild guess.

Or if the above all wrong, then its' really them being ultra generous since its their 25th anniversary. They recently gave away like free phones, 25 phones a day if not mistaken. Absolutely free, no subscription needed. But based on luck as in need to redeem in their Maxis app.

Yeap, agreed. It's more than that actually. RM219 for 500Mbps x 24 months = RM5,256. Way more than the TV, which one can get from Lazada at RM3,600nett. Thus, if one genuinely needs Fibre connection, then worth to take the TV offer. But if signing up for the Maxis Fibre just to get the TV, but not using the Maxis Fibre at all, then yeah, not worth it, since will be paying more as opposed to an outright purchase.

actually is (98 + 219 + 1) x 24 month x 6% SST = 8090

Yeap, spot on. That's the total end to end cost I'm guessing. Unless want to take into consideration cost to visit the Maxis store to sign up too.... ><"
I didn't take the postpaid cost into consideration as I take it that everyone has a mobile since its a necessity in today's world. While for Fibre, its still somewhat subjective and not as critical as the mobile line. As a matter of fact, if staying alone and if not heavy usage, can just use mobile hotspot and use the phone data. biggrin.gif

I m currently on (Maxis One Plan 128 + Unifi RM179) x 6% SST = RM325.42/ month
Unifi: 500mbps Turbo + Hpptv bundle package. No free call or other additional stuff. Numerous times requested TM to remove the Hypptv TV but can't due to bundle.

If I sign up this offer

(Maxis One Plan 98 + Fibre RM219 + RM1) x 6% SST = RM337.08/ month

ps: I m changing my 128 plan to 98 upon completion of this unifi to maxis fibre migration.

RM11.66 additional/ month = Total RM279.84 over 24 months.

Maxis Fibre cons:

1) 65" Samsung TV worth RM3600
2) 2x Mesh Wifi worth RM600
3) Unlimited Local Voice call with Dect phone worth RM10/ month
4) MaxisOne become MaxisOne Prime with unlimited data inlc. supplementary lines. (If sign up supplementary now will get 6 months RM48 rebate)
5) Maxis Wireless unlimited 4G dongle incase of fibre down

From my above points I feel that if you are an existing high speed fibre user then its really worth it to take up this offer. Coz better value for money.
Maybe my calculations can help you guys to make a decision. Thanks.

upgrade is allow, u should goto maxis center ask, their system can tell you can get TV or not.
1st, u must be MASS_A account, else u need pay 1500 advance payment for the TV.
2st, u cannot get any device (phone contract, apple tv contract) within 3 month.
eg me just take a A31 on 8th aug, so i need to wait until 8th nov only can get the TV deal, if that time still avalaible lah ...

Just went Sunway maxis centre. Upgraded my plan from 300 to 500mbps. Maxis rep said samsung will call me within 7 days to arrange delivery.

It all depends on eligibility. Maxis recommends to visit their maxis centre to check eligibility.

The broadband have to be installed and activated before you can request for the tv. But you'll have to wait for minimum 3 month since you're new to maxis till your credit goes up.

As for installation, I'm not sure if you can cancel it after the appointment is made. They might charge you a penalty for it. I recommend that you double conform with maxis about this.

Since u oledi on 500mbps , i supposed u r paying rm249 for unifi. Rm30 cheaper if compared to maxis 500mbps x 24 months = rm720 savings

More than rm524 u paying....but r u sure rm500 penalty still for unifi? Heard somebody said TM change policy, u have to pay all remaining months fee under contract to terminate

Oh ya, maxis actually will subsidy max rm500 if u switch from unifi to maxis fibre

because they say i cant take up this promo because im under contract 2 years which will be ending in 10 months.

so they suggest me terminate current contract, pay rm500 then take new promo contract.

i did asked can i just recontract, add 2 years, they say cannot cause maximum contract is 2 years only.

no i did not. its just a normal 2 years contract without any device, but the girl told me to head down to maxis store for any info.

ive heard from other people i can just renew the contract without any chargers since im not downgrading. most prob ill head down tomorrow and check.

Yeah...most probably u shd visit maxis centre not those dealer store....and in ur case i think u are high chance waived the rm500 penalty and only tight up 24 month new contract instead of 10 + 24 month like u suggest

Please take note of the speed for maxis fibre.
I tried Maxis and it's not really for gaming.

Using the modem from Unifi but when i test the speed, Maxis is slower and the latency is 3 digits compared to Unifi 1 digit.

Just got back from maxis.

Cant signup now due to apparently i have a hidden outstanding of RM39 which apparently its from my mobile plan a year ago before i combined into 1 account ( mobile + fibre ). I just paid that RM39 but because of that now i have to wait for my zerolution iphone to complete ( 26th oct 2020 ) or just pay the rm290 for early termination. Also because of not paying that hidden RM39 i can only have 1 zerolution per account and must pay rm1000 upfront.

I really dont understand why because of maxis wrong i have to be the one paying for it. ...

i went to maxis with my friend 2 days ago, he is not under unlimited postpaid but is able to sign up for it. he took the 100mbps and RM79 for TV package.
no upfront payment too

edit - he is a time fibre customer who is switching to maxis fibre.

Time Telekom 100 mbps = 99.00
Maxis Fiber 100 mbps = 129.00

Extra 30.00 x 24 = 720.00
TV 79.00 x 24 = 1896.00
Total = 2616.00

With that amount, I think win win for maxis but not your friend.

Just get call from maxis telemarketing team and they said prime user with 100mbps fiber plan and above only can get 65inch. Prime with 30mbps plan only eligible for 50inch.

So I call 123 to check again and they confirmed any prime plan will be eligible for 65inch and pure fiber user get 50inch. They ask to walk in any maxis center to subscript instead of using web.

if they required upfront payment from you eventho ur a maxis mobile plan (128) user that means ur in group C ( bad payment master ) Required RM1500 upfront.

Group B ( got outstanding payment ) Required RM1000 upfront payment.

Group A ( Perfect Score ) No upfront required.

My case im in Group B need RM1000 upfront payment because apparently maxis didnt charge me RM39 from my old mobile account ( which now has been joined with fibre into a single account ). kinda stupid right ?

edit - my friend got called from maxis today said they will callback within 30days to update on TV delivery status ( they didnt say receive within 30 days ).

Now with CMCO, with uncertain delivery date, not sure how to take delivery of the TV... Account is under my mum’s name, according to maxis policy, owner of account must be present during delivery for thumb print and IC verification.. haiz every plan is ruined by this Covid-19☹️

Just went maxis center today, T&C just got updated that we will need prime with 100mbps fiber for 65inch. 30mbps only eligible for 50inch.
Getting good respond then update the requirement. Guess it's time to say good bye to Maxis.

Not sure about post paid plan requirement though, I'm already postpaid 128 user.

Same info was told by telemarketing team that call be after I register in maxis website. But when I called 123, they gave me old info and ask to go maxis center.

Really disappointed with Maxis, and now highly consider to know to U-mobile

Why I didnt hear anyone receiving any offer of rebate to renew their contract?

I have been using for over 10 years and received a call last month about the rebate of RM20 for couple of months to renew my contract for 2 years. I rejected because I feel the speed is too slow for my TV to enjoy 4K and also hoping they will promo higher speed like 50Mbps or 100Mbps cheaper.

I even register for Digi Broadband 90 50Mbps but until now also no ppl are calling.

Thanks.

Its will be terminated automatically. I also had the same doubt so I went to TM but the TM rep told me it will be terminated automatically coz it transfer request raised by Maxis. I cant login to my Unifi account anymore. Account terminated.

Same.
It seems they have change the clause.
They told me to upgrade Fibre to at least 100 Mbps and Postpaid plan 128 to be eligible for 65 inch TV.
If not, only 50 inch for you.

I am currently link maxis fiber 30mbps and P98 unlimited postpaid.

If I upgrade to 500mbps, do I get free 65in TV at rm 1 per month ?

For rm1/month 65inch tv. You need minimum 128 postpaid plan + 500mbps plan.

u can get A71 with subline, but if u just get the TV, need wait 3 month.

Their sales team kept calling me every single day to sign up for this smart TV. Is very annoying I have kept telling them stop calling me yet different agents will call me for the same thing.

My TIME Fibre 500Mbps for RM139 only 🙄 plus my area is blind spot for all cellular networks, no point using Maxis which is much more expensive and slow.

Anyone here transferred their ports from Unifi to Maxis? I've got the reference ID and was asked by Maxis to go to TMPoint to notify them of the transfer request. Called 100 and they said only selected TMPoint which is quite annoying.

Anyone got off this by calling TMPoint directly instead of physical visit?

You have to visit the TM point in physical. Owner have to be present to verify the IC. No other way.

Tried to apply but told I'm not elligible as I have some outstanding with Celcom few years back in 2016. Apparently Celcom still bill me after I port my number back to Maxis. This arrangement seems weird as Maxis did clear me for the Zerolution package and my payment record with maxis has been excellent.

Postpaid & subline unlimited is 300gb quota

Fibre shd be unlimited quota however when i submit my upgrade application at maxis center i do saw a term & condition listed on their ipad stated 1000gb for my original 300mbps plan and upgraded to 3000gb for 500mbps plan....this however is not officially announced publicly and my consumption monthly doesn't near this fair usage policy so i'm ok with it.

Applied maxis tv on 22 sep and finally received the tv 25 nov, got rebate rm250 at my maxis bill.... Overall i satisfied with the 65 inch samsung tv....and i appreciate maxis self action to rebate us for the late delivery instead of we hv to request for it.

I've just installed my Maxis 500mbps. Haven't receive the bill yet but so far my orders all never mention about the TV. I ask the installer he say that one settle with Maxis.

How does this works? I go to Maxis centre again and ask for the TV Zerolution?

Would appreciate if you guys can help me answer this short survey.. should take more than 15 mins ya... icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

I receive promotion for 43 inch UHD for rm1 for 24 months.

My question is:

1) What is the model for 43 inch?

2) T&C is quite confusing. Do we really need to return back the TV after contract expired?

Hi all,
Sorry if my question have been answered before but, I've went to maxis center in Klang branch to port from Unifi and subscribe maxis fiber 100mbps and been told that the TV is not 100% eligible for new maxis user. The t&c is maxis will check user CTOS/CCRIS for credit rating and if badscore, then not eligible to get the TV at all.

And even if you are eligible, then you need to pay advance RM1006 for the TV. I was surprised to hear this kind of T&C and decided to ask if anyone getting the same info?

My aim is port from unifi to maxis and if really not 100% eligible to get TV with hidden T&C then no use to port out.

How was the TV? Is it worth it for RM109 per month? After two years you no longer need to pay the additional RM79 right?

I missed the RM1 promo and now feel very hard to get even the RM59 per month.

That’s normal since you are new customer you will be entitled to pay upfront. Even it’s same also zerolution also for newer customers. After 24 months contract ends then you can sign any devices in zerolution wise.

the samsung 7000 series is a entry level 4k smart tv. so its hard to say hows the tv. if you just a normal person who wants to watch movie via netflix, hbo go, amazon prime, youtube or even cast from ur pc, ill say its good enough. There are many other tv around the same price range which is better imo.

the only reason i took because if calculate RM109 x 24 months its only RM2616. Outside shop selling cheapest i found is RM3200. If you have the cash to pay upfront and willing to topup abit more, ill suggest getting other tv.

and yes, after 24months the tv is urs, no need to pay for tv anymore.

Hi I went to Icity branch to sign up, i signed up for 500mbps package in Nov 2020 because free mesh and with the link of postpaid plan of 128, is 65" TV instead of 50"

yes had to pay for a RM1500 advance payment but they deduct during the monthly bill so seems like just upfront your bills first only.
I feel pretty worth still if you need fiber for your house and dont want to spend another 2k for TV although is a 2 star energy rating tv

Free mesh helpful if you live 2 story but best if you get 3 pieces of mesh instead of 2.

Hi guys, just to update I just came back from Maxis Center KLCC to do credit check whether I am eligible to get the RM1 TV.

To my surprise I got it! Last time in December 2020 I went and failed credit check and need to advance payment RM1500.

Today I immediately signed up for the TV.

I was so excited I forgot to ask whether I am getting TU7000 or AU7700.

This Monday Maxis will call me to confirm and I will ask which model I am getting.

I will update here as well on Monday

Anyone registered @ Sept and received the TV? I registered @ 22SEPT and yet have a update from MAXIS nor MTT until now, followed up with them, initially told it's was two weeks, then told 3 month, then called Maxis, they told within 30days-60days, I wonder how long will it take ranting.gif

I recently converted to Maxis family plan

https://www.maxis.com.my/en/mobile-plans/family-plan/

Maxis Family Plan (4 Share Line + 800Mbps + 65" TV) so it's (RM299+RM210+RM1) It's cheaper compared to if u took the 500Mbps variant (you need to pay RM89/mthly for the TV) (RM299+RM130+RM89) , and the price difference between 800Mbps and 500Mbps is 540.6 and 549.08, I went for 800Mbps for the RM1 TV

The worst thing is that initially they told me that I don't have to pay anything for the TV, then my father went to do it after converting to maxis family plan, they told suddenly i have to pay RM2700 for the freaking advance payment mad.gif mad.gif ranting.gif

and MTT Solutions are not able to advice a estimated date for it

as quoted;

Good Morning , sir. A checked, your Tv is not ready for deliver yet at the moment. You shall receive a prior notice from us when the delivery is ready ya. Thank you

Hi there. As checked, we’ve received details under name XXX.

However, due to the overwhelming response, the delivery is not ready and we are unable to provide an exact time as to when we will deliver the TV.

We are trying our best to deliver as soon as possible. Once the delivery is available, we will definitely contact you to schedule the delivery.

Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience caused and thank you for your kind understanding. 🙇‍♀️

After checking with my respective team, they are unable to provide an estimated time frame as to when will deliver the TV. But don't worry, we will notice you at least 2 days before the delivery ya. 🙏

Sorry but we are unable to advise an queue number for you . We delivered the TV in batches. Each batch may be 300 to 500 units, and it takes 3 to 4 weeks. However, we will do our best to speed up the process. You will definitely receive a prior notice from us when the delivery is ready.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding is highly appreciate! 🙏

The problem is, they are charging me for it and yet the TV isn't arrive yet and very Mad about this issue, how do we follow up with maxis with this issues? and the delivery fella don't give me a estimated time frame, I wanted to renovate the room the TV arrive, need to buy the bracket for it too, and yet they don't give me the timeframe of it.

Super-duper disappointed with service from maxis & mtt solution bangwall.gif

Update 13/10/2021 5:48pm

MTT SOLUTIONS, as quoted.

Will be around end of November or December . We will definitely speed up the proceed .

The worst thing is that initially they told me that I don't have to pay anything for the TV, then my father went to do it after converting to maxis family plan, they told suddenly i have to pay RM2700 for the freaking advance payment  mad.gif  mad.gif  ranting.gif
and MTT Solutions are not able to advice a estimated date for it

as quoted;

Walau weh so i paid RM2700 just to wait? ranting.gif

Nope as the cost you need to paid for the TV is kind of similar you get 500Mbps package.
The TV is not RM 1 for 3 years under 300Mbps package.

Only 500Mbps package and above is entitle for RM 1 TV installment in 3 years (RM 36 in total).

I not sure as I never seen myself the Huawei one. Huawei one thing is good as it is 120Hz and this is good for gaming. For video wise no impact. Also you can video call in big TV. 😅

The attached is a summary I made based on the current offerings. Do advise if that is the case, meaning the 300MB or 500MB line is the best deal right now.

Just called cs. He said no stock at maxis. Restock no idea.
Wonder why maxis still have ps5 on its website. It's been oos for too long.

Also I heard they pick and choose 800mbps customers only to get ps5. Rumour only. Not sure if true.

Latest price on Maxis is RM70/month for 36 months contract for this TV for 300Mbps plan at RM149/month. That means by subscribing you get a discount on the TV by committing RM5,364 for home internet. The price for that TV model is about RM4599 or for me I can get for about RM3599.

It's up to you to decide if a RM5364 purchase on Item A is worth the RM1k discount on Item B. Maybe internet prices will go down sharply with the new govt too..

No more 5G yet... but yes, the mobile data is unlimited but video streaming will be throttled after 300GB FUP. Some say the FUP seem lile not being implemented but long² time ago, I did experienced the issue. No videos can be played at all after hitting 300GB within a bill cycle. Netflix, Youtube and others. Apart from video streaming, others are totally fine with max speed. Just my 2C.

So my previous samsung 65" RM1 x 24 months contract ended last year. Decided to renew again but this time opt for the 75" LG QNED instead of the 75" Samsung QLED. Anyone know the model number for this LG ?
