im actually in the market of buying a new tv, kinda looking at 4k 65"too.

should i terminate my contract ( pay RM500 ) and take this deal ? im already on 500mbps. looks like ill be paying RM524 in total. haha

im actually on maxis 500mbps. paying rm220 now, still got 10 months till my contract ends. i asked maxis they say termination fee is RM500.

because they say i cant take up this promo because im under contract 2 years which will be ending in 10 months.

so they suggest me terminate current contract, pay rm500 then take new promo contract.

i did asked can i just recontract, add 2 years, they say cannot cause maximum contract is 2 years only.

no i did not. its just a normal 2 years contract without any device, but the girl told me to head down to maxis store for any info.

ive heard from other people i can just renew the contract without any chargers since im not downgrading. most prob ill head down tomorrow and check.

Just got back from maxis.

Cant signup now due to apparently i have a hidden outstanding of RM39 which apparently its from my mobile plan a year ago before i combined into 1 account ( mobile + fibre ). I just paid that RM39 but because of that now i have to wait for my zerolution iphone to complete ( 26th oct 2020 ) or just pay the rm290 for early termination. Also because of not paying that hidden RM39 i can only have 1 zerolution per account and must pay rm1000 upfront.

I really dont understand why because of maxis wrong i have to be the one paying for it. ...

Correct. U have to pay an early termination fee for the tv, not for the fibre contract

i went to maxis with my friend 2 days ago, he is not under unlimited postpaid but is able to sign up for it. he took the 100mbps and RM79 for TV package.
no upfront payment too

edit - he is a time fibre customer who is switching to maxis fibre.

We calculated that too. But he wanted the TV.

That TV model is going for rm3500 cheapest. So consider still cheaper

if they required upfront payment from you eventho ur a maxis mobile plan (128) user that means ur in group C ( bad payment master ) Required RM1500 upfront.

Group B ( got outstanding payment ) Required RM1000 upfront payment.

Group A ( Perfect Score ) No upfront required.

My case im in Group B need RM1000 upfront payment because apparently maxis didnt charge me RM39 from my old mobile account ( which now has been joined with fibre into a single account ). kinda stupid right ?


edit - my friend got called from maxis today said they will callback within 30days to update on TV delivery status ( they didnt say receive within 30 days ).

stocks seems fast now. decided to finally opt for the 65" under 300mbps (RM109), registered on thursday 18th feb and today received whatsapp stating tomorrow monday ( 22nd feb ) delivery.

btw they changed the plans ? i remembered 6 months back 300mbps was RM79, no ?

Huhhh. Guess i looked at it wrongly last year

no, i was already a maxis user with 300mbps fibre and mobile 128 plan.

i just walk in and register for it. 2 days later received message that tv will be delivered in 2 days time.

in total i received the tv 4 days after register for the tv.

the samsung 7000 series is a entry level 4k smart tv. so its hard to say hows the tv. if you just a normal person who wants to watch movie via netflix, hbo go, amazon prime, youtube or even cast from ur pc, ill say its good enough. There are many other tv around the same price range which is better imo.

the only reason i took because if calculate RM109 x 24 months its only RM2616. Outside shop selling cheapest i found is RM3200. If you have the cash to pay upfront and willing to topup abit more, ill suggest getting other tv.

and yes, after 24months the tv is urs, no need to pay for tv anymore.

So my previous samsung 65" RM1 x 24 months contract ended last year. Decided to renew again but this time opt for the 75" LG QNED instead of the 75" Samsung QLED. Anyone know the model number for this LG ?
