I would rather adopt 'wait and see' stance like ar188. Most probably by July (KLIAV 08), there are a numbers of new gen AVR to choose from and hopefully more on budget and mid-range

Hopefully, all these new models from Denon, Onkyo, Yammy and Pioneer will be on demo during KLIAV

Onkyo, Denon and Yamaha do produce wallet-busting AV receivers. Denon at one time produce a AVR that cost as much as a Saga.

If you have lots of moolah, then you might opt for processor/pwr amp combo such as Lexicon, NAD, and so forth. However, not many people will opt for it due to the extreme price tag meant for elites.

why no one go after monitor audio speaker? i mean Bronze or Silver Range...i heard before...the sound is spectacular even for a Bronze BR2

I guess maybe due to budget constraint if going for MA 5.1 / 7.1 setup.

I was closed to buying CHT-12R. But, then no stock. When it did arrive, the price ballooned to RM2,500. An increase of almost RM400!!!

Taikor, how much you got it for the SR875. I bet it is way more expensive than 1800, right? sweat.gif

Wow, power ..... aiming for CHT-12R pulak. When I look at the price, my face turned green liao.  Honestly, CHT-10R is good enough for me, a big improvement over my Yamaha and Jamo sub. Now, still deciding whether to get RX-V1800 or RX-V3800. Headache.  doh.gif

I've auditioned CHT-10R, which is not much of a diff compared to my current sub and it does a low of 28Hz. But, the CHT-12R is so immersive, digs low (25Hz) and powerful. That's why I considered it and at that time its price is quite attractive.

That's what I am trying to say. A new 2.4l Camry has different characteristic and better in many ways if to compare with a 1.6l Altis.

Not trying to snub you, splee. No hard feelings. Everyone here also wants to own SR875 and knew pretty well that it is better than the a lot cheaper 1800. But, money is an issue. sweat.gif

Then again, for someone who could afford SR-875, I believe the speakers are of at least upper mid-range to compliment the setup. Then again, the display would be impressive stuff too. I would say (if for me) the whole setup could be at least RM30,000

IIRC, based on the 605, you have to remove the plastic plug/stopper from the binding post before you can insert the banana plugs. A mini tweezer will do the job just fine.

Unless wireworld's banana plug is designed differently from the normal banana plugs.
*

Yes, you are right. I doubt Wireworld banana plug could not fit. It's universal
