SST being charged in my statement. Paid the statement balance tgt with SST.
When call to call centre and ask for card cancellation, the cs say SST will not be refunded and once SST being charged to the card, even if you call for cancellation you will still have to pay for the sst.

I thought SST is charging advance and no need to pay if you cancel the card without using the card once SST being charged?
Anyone experiencing the same ?  Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, when i tell this to cs. CS say "Affin have their own tnc for SST". However, cs say will proceed cancellation and seek for mgmt approval to refund paid SST. Lets see how it goes. Didnt expect Affin so strict on "refund the paid sst on unused cancelled card" 

Affin VS going to hit anniversary later this month.

1) called CS #1 for sst rebate/spend condition = no offer
2) cleared outstanding
3) called CS #2 for card cancellation due to upcoming sst = offered RM25 cashback for spending min RM300 within 45 days from today.
4) decided to keep

Just one random question strikes me today, do you ask for your merchant to waive your card for example purchase big amount like 2k, break into 250 250 250 to reap the affin plat card cb?

I request the shop to split my 2k transaction to 8 times for the contactless card due to the maximum amount limitation.

After 3 times use for the wave, the card will block automatically, then the 4 times I need to use pin to activate back, so the concept is 3 times wave and 1 time pin keep repeating.

cumulative 3x paywave.

eg 3x > reset > 3x > reset > 3x > reset

it wont reset by time period as well (eg 1st of the month) or by merchant

But I encountered problem where most merchant don’t do that :/

The merchant refuse to do so, and said the bank might alarmed due to repetitive transactions like 250 250 250. Total bullshxt to me :/

I have autobill that always posted the statement date, the cash rebate will be bring forward to next month.
Tried to request a statement date change but was told affin bank does not have the capability to change the date .. hmm
