Just lost my digi 3G signal here in PJ. Kinda bittersweet

So far testing if i disable volte calls still can come in on 2G, few seconds longer

Much better than celcom go straight to voicemail if got volte problem or no volte in 4G area

Lost digi 3g in ampang as well, farewell 3g. Used it till the end bcoz 4g eats alot of battery. Guess i have to charge my phone more often now

Fun fact :
My friend and i did a speedtest below Menara Maxis
he using Maxis and i using Digi
Maxis got 50+Mbps and Digi got 100+Mbps
maybe need to rename call Menara Digi

That's why we MUST have SIM2 slot using other telco's cell towers...

Actually having headache why Celcom's 4G to 3G/2G handover (for making & reciving calls) is messy right now at my house since 3G shutdown thingy

And our family's Celcom/yoodo SIM (left & right one in the picture below) for some reason won't connect to 2G... even if it did, it'll just go back to no service after few moments (Celcom's 2G signal is not that weak at our house, the Celcom/unifi/yoodo SIMs locked to 2G only for purpose of detecting 2G signal)

Unifi 4G to Celcom's 2G handover works just fine , even the unifi SIM sticks to Celcom's 2G just fine without any issue if I set it to 2G only
And Yes, already reported to MCMC

Note: In the picture below, the left phone has yoodo SIM on SIM2, middle one has unifi bebas SIM on SIM1, right one only has yoodo SIM.

On this few day, my non volte phone using umobile, when i notice sudden 4G icon gone, mean calling will come after 2, 3 seconds
As i mention on umobile thread, 3G only for calling

Didn't see properly that many places have weak 4G signal issues... And congestion too... That's why slow speed too....

That's why if all left to private sector, they would only concentrate on high return areas.

need to have some form of regulatory control of role out, which the government is trying to do with 5G

All these network issues should not happen if they (ie telcos) "sincerely" "re-farm" 3G to 4G.

Now, what we experience is like the 3G is never being "re-farm" but totally shutdown.

Do all telcos understand the difference between "re-farm" and "shutdown"...?

But some parties say it's monopoly...
Not good for the country to have 1 company for 5G 😬
Die2 want respective Telco run the network system...
