I tell you very soon all those cheap China phones they handout to the public will become eWaste. They cannot support VoLTE or VoWiFi because not included in the telco's compatibility list. So all go back to dinosaur age use 2G for voice calls?

Save the Smart Meters and merchant ePOS(Point of Sale) terminals at the expense of the national voice call network. I say these corrupted lots are GENIUSES who only think about their own corporation pockets.

How many of these smart meters/ePOS terminals vs the number voice call users in the country?

Naik taraf to 4G but no more voice calls? You want everyone to use Whatsapp and OTT instant messaging apps voice calls is it?

Can circuit switch 2G handle all these traffic? How about quality with its low bit rate? You like hearing robot and cracking sound on the other end? Calls which frequently disconnects? Do not like to be disturbed?

Expect telco ARPU to drop and sink to new lows after this all because dumb silly people listen to blind western expert advise.

yeah, lastly ported out my grandma's number together with my main line.

funny thing is the CS still ask me to switch to 3g or 2g to make calls. dah la told them 2g call quality very sad.

end up they told me based on their system, the tower got no problem at all. active and got user connected to it. so they told me time to change my grandma's phone.

after change telco, voice call and internet call all very clear.

wake up. blue telco 0 bar at most of the chinese area in KL at 2022.... sri petaling, kuchai lama, OKR, pavilion bukit jalil, Lalaport.
the list should serve 1m population yet no line. I dont see why celcom need to improve ur kampung coverage

But seems like they focus on M majority area first... In major towns / cities / semi-urban areas...

I think now got different issues. My colleague, which has VoLTE from DIGI told me now have issues calling between his family members, that are all on DIGI and VoLTE activated.

This 3G sunset Jendela tingkap thingy - does the gov know how many missed important calls are people experiencing currently? Last 2 weeks my son's teacher tried to call me several times to inform that my son is having a bad stomach ache, to no avail. Luckily, he still can reach my wife after that. But imagine how upset I am at this whole thing - voice calls, something that is basic, having issues in 2022. I'm not asking for 1gbps 5G or whatnot, please.

they focus on their support/customer base

to green colour. although expensive but at least can call smoothly around my area and kampung. my office definitely got full bar as my boss ask them to install indoor coverage.

tried yellow man, call quality not good as well. internet sometime good and sometime bad. my uncle also complaining yellowman, everytime calls disconnected and not clear.

personally i think orange also not bad. if im not using fibre+phone plan, i think i will consider back to orange telco.

ya. no point keep telling them my area weak signal etc. tired doing that.
even kl quite a number of shopping mall their coverage also very weak.

maybe they not yet turn 3G to 4G?

with VoLTE, phone stays on same 4G network, higher quality calls
without VoLTE, phone jumps back to 2G network, same telco, lower quality calls
