Iinm, toyol tires are not good for wet roads. I almost wanted to go for toyol for my recent tyre chg but when i read the reviews, all agreed that wet conditions is not this brand’s expertise. I went with Mich EnergyXM2+ which i on purpose drove over puddles of water and it dissipates water perfectly.

Looks like I'll have to change my wheels much earlier then... I've only clocked 13k km... doh.gif

Got a very close shave today... Going over a highway slip road left turn under wet condition when out of a sudden 100m in front was an accident, all cars slowing down. I followed suit but brake tak makan... jammed brakes harder, ABS kicked in lack-lustrously, my car just glided like ice skating...

New City is seriously shit on 2 disc + 2 drums... Either this or the Toyol tires are shit on wet conditions... ESS did not trigger so I wasn't going above 80kph...

I really missed my 4-disc Jazz... sad.gif

tires or there is oil on the road..

When I go for the 3rd service, the sc asked me to perform wheel balancing, rotation those for 75, but my car only clocked 4000km mileage even though already 1 year, need to do all those already? And is it better to do it there or outside?

Wow... 4k only in 1 year...? Car for market run...? sweat.gif

Anyway, recommended alignment balancing rotation is at 10k km interval at average, so it's not surprise for them to ask as per servicing SOP since 3rd service is supposedly for 20k km mileage - you should be on 2nd alignment balancing rotation already... tongue.gif

Since yours just 4k, can skip and do outside once it reaches 10k km... or when you service your car in the future when it can coincide with 10k km, say maybe on your 5th service...?

75 a bit steep for SC, the last I did mine at SC was 65...? Outside can do for less than 50 I believe...

BTW, if your car happens to be a V-spec and comes with Toyol tyres, may I suggest changing all 4 tyres instead of considering alignment balancing... Toyol tyres are death traps on wet conditions - a disaster waiting to happen...

Usually the maintenance will include other charges like aircond cleaning and engine additive etc? Cuz the list stated that 3rd maintenance is 300++ but today I paid 500++

Does changing tyre void warranty?

9 ( My current car is more than 10 years old, never once I had used an engine cleaner to clean the engine. Sure, I may have lost single digit HPs but it doesn't matter to me and it's just supposed to clear off the carbon residue in your engine)
10 ( You want treatment? Put RON97. Cleaner also)
11 ( I could be wrong on this but I don't recall this is needed )
12

If those mentioned are all accurately optional, you spent an extra RM223.77 to HM.

Thanks, for engine cleaner, if I occasionally pump RON97 also can achieve that effect or need to do it regularly?

Also, if I want to avoid those extra charges, how do I know which are extra on my future services? If not I think will end up spending a few thousands extra to HM.

For the RON97, nah. it wont clean it off but it will just create lesser carbon residue only compared to RON95 but it's just very very minor difference only. Pump whichever RON you like/can afford.

Try to tally up the price to as close as the price stated by HM maintenance list. Let's say for the next service, HM stated it's RM400, then make sure your final amount do not deviate more than + or - RM50 or so.
If you really want to know which are needed and which are not, you have to join some FB Honda *insert car model name* groups and slowly learn/gather data from the people that posts similar questions as you. Members will reply and tell which are needed and which are not. Slowly, you'll know which are needed and which are "scams" by SC.

Honestly, I'm in one of the groups and I saw that for a service of only RM300+-, the SC managed to get the owner to spend up till RM800++ by adding tons of unnecessary stuffs into the bill.

Download a copy of the maintenance schedule from Honoda website, store it on your phone... Next round service when the advisor show you the list of items on service, compare and remove them on your request...

State clearly you only want the mandatory maintenance based on manual service and no optional service required.
