How bad are the issues? from what i read from 1st page up to now (in selection parts) can see from what you posted mostly related to high end more tech models yes? (im looking at entry models, not so savy on that high end models etc.)

power window, sensors, apps, infotainment etc.

how about key components like engine, drive train, alternators, handling, brakes etc? Has the latest production settled all those issues?

I know every car has its ups and downs, but if there is an option should i still opt for x50?

My car is the Executive variant. In the 4 years of ownership, only claim I've made was the side mirrors.

Other than that, no issues. Just regular service, & wear & tear.

General and maybe some specific stuff. Wear and tear im not worried much, just show stopper issues that has me thinking.
Probably my major concerns would revolve around engine, Gb, and electrical power system(alternator, mechanical pulley etc).

But reading all of your experiences seems like the QAQC has improved and some issues have stayed synonym with proton(que the power window. I still have my wira and still same from 30 odd years ago biggrin.gif ). Thanks for the sharing tho.

Oh btw, is it easy to do dash cam installation on your own(front and rear)? what about the cables? need to sorok2 here and there ka?

added two more issue on my previous reply.

for me to looking at the community.
i think the QA/QC inside did raised, but quality the part itself seem fluctuating around.
more like proton cant promise the part quality, you will time to time saw people facing weird issue that doesnt appear on previous batches of car.
but again, thats why the warranty is there.

for 100k, there tons of car to choice with,
atto3 ultra actually 110k-ish i think?

dashcam did install on accessories shop, it need to hide inside pillar/roof lining.
i don think it a problem, as accessories shop doing it almost daily lol

for powerwindow, proton did 'solve' it by adding metal bracket/clip, but people claim after adding metal clip it still happening (ofc no image proof metal clip in there and the plastic part still broken)
until my window regulator with metal clip broke, no comment will make for now.

Earlier batches have limited adjustability. the furthest adjustment could only go so far, but still not enough & you still get a skewed side view of the car during driving.

When I heard that the later batches have fixed this issue, tried my luck to claim warranty during routine service. fortunately claim was approved.

ATLAS and GKUI both fall short due to hardware limitations. It's better to use CarPlay and Android Auto, as they don't compromise internal ROM, RAM or other resources.

Best to run Waze in Android Auto, the HU processor is not very capable.

I get vess player, 8,128. but for me it still suck as the android itself quite heavily modded (most china android oem are like this)
so you install other launcher it will not work perfectly.

you can use a USB cable, I did that for along time and then I bought a XUDA WiFi adapter from Aliexpress (around RM40 if you're a new user) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050066451...7Cquery_from%3A it works well, automatically runs Android Auto when you enter the car.

This. The processor of the HU model are so yesterday. More worst for x70 cbu and earlier ckd model HU, more outdated, laggy as f even with AA and ACP, which not demand much from HU, it still laggy. Waiting my warranty to finish by Merdeka this year then upgrade her with newer HU aftermarket
