Those who change flywheel

How long does it takes?

Send for inspection and confirm faulty in early Nov

They said no stock, ask to wait

change SC. especially you already pointing the finger to flywheel, they no need 3 times to acknowledge the issue

mine flywheel noise actually much earlier than SC detect. maybe 1yr ago
just not obvious, and the last time they 'errr, your engine bay seem like got noise, but by our record should be flywheel faulty. Will double confirm and get you back.'

Friends,

My X50 flagship 2021 is almost at 3 years mark - so far so good but time to change tyres and want to upgrade the Carlinkit Apple Carplay.

1. I'm set on Michelin PS tyres - what is the best equivalent dimensions since Michelin doesn't have 215/55R18 like stock? Also, do you recommend PS5 or PS4SUV?
2. For CarPlay Carlinkit, it's a godsend... never really used any other app besides that. I'm using the old CPC200-CCPA model.. what is the latest you recommend?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Sharing an update for my tyres - decided to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 with 235x50R18 and it’s been ~2 weeks driving around town, up Genting and on some highways. They cost ~Rm670 per piece and tire shop charged additional RM55 for alignment.

Overall, quite happy with the tyres vs stock UC6 and would do it again if needed. Couple of observations:
1. Much better wet & dry grip than UC6, particularly noticeable these few days as KL has been very wet and many roods floodded
2. Handling overall when overtaking/cornering feels much more confident and less understeering effect
3. However, I feel that overall 0-100 acceleration is marginally slower.. I didn’t time it but maybe it’s an effect of new tires, wider tires etc, but I do feel it takes a smidge longer to get up to speed.. anyone else can confirm/deny this?
4. The aesthetics is super pretty with the “velvet touch” wall.. probably one of the key reasons I landed with the Pilot Sport
5. Speedometer change is ~1-2 km/h so tyre shop say no need to do recalibration

Hopefully helpful for other owners who are keen to change tyres.

3 and 5 expected since u choose wider tyre than stock size. Few in x70 group also changed from 225/55/19 to 235/55/19 and commented the no 3. But it look better in exterior.

Interestingly, on the Genting run yesterday and Karak highway, I realized that it was the stop-start acceleration that felt slower.. otherwise, in-gear acceleration at 40-60km/h above felt instantaneous and quick..

Unfortunately for PS5, this was the closest size..else need to take Primacy 4 to grt 215x55R18. Not much price difference per pc but heard overall PS5 is better braking and handling for spirited driving

@ayamxxx, one thing to check - would it make sense to lower pressure to 220kPa? I usually keep it at 240kPa but wondering if lower pressure can help with the acceleration.

Some nice pics of the pretty tyres Proud daddy of these tires every time I see them..😍

Lowering the tyre pressure helps for getting a bit more grip and could be better 0-100kmh if that preventing the tyre from losing grip at start? But 220kpa is normal recommended tyre pressure for many cars. Putting more tyre pressure than recommended will make lesser tyre surface touching the ground and give a better FC (usually at Fuel Consumption driving, many will put a higher tyre pressure)

Mine still repeat a PS4 tyres for my sedan cz good grip at raining season. Most annoying tyres is the stock UC6 at X70, even the car is at 1 week, it easy to losing control at straight line when it is on heavy rain. Swap the UC6 to Toyo CR1 cz got good price and no more poor wet traction as UC6

Had major service for 40k on Monday and there is additional work that is included which is to replace the clip for the rear right passenger windows, i believe this to cater power windows issue?
