I am considering the X50. As this car has been around for some time, appreciate feedback from owners.
Any issues due to 3cylinder engine?
Is support & service satisfactory?
Cost of regular service?
Any mechanical issues?
Spare part price at spare part shop?

2 years owning the car now with mileage 23k TGDI engine
-No issue with engine, did not have worsen engine vibration like new
-My service at Reiwa OKR is good so far
-Service cost u can refer to the service schedule, I felt like service cost of any other SUV except Perodua being cheaper.
-No mechanical issues so far
-Haven't buy any spare part so far, u can look it up online Shopee/Lazada there's ppl selling them.

Hi all, do you experience clunking/knocking sound when slowing down from 40km/h to maybe 20km/h? its always within these range, if going thru bumps its once in awhile.
Not sure what is wrong with it

yes, is this due to faulty parts? or it is by design they have this clunking noise?

yes i do also have that sound, i thought i was alone. so far hard to replicate its intermittent

i love everything bout x50 , thinking to get it sometimes early jan 2024 , already test drive the x50

Seems to be common for this particular DCT gearbox, same comment from China's forum, what I think we can do is just to drive smoothly around those gears (brake, accelerate linearly), nothing we can do, neither do SC

I thought its the kluk kluk sound going when low speed over bumps

Anyway just got my drive shaft replaced.

i do notice it sometimes during bumps too. So that is drive shaft issue?

Yes..just claimed mine. Sound no more

Yes better claim early. Ask SC to test or check. Its not uncommon. Mine took 3 weeks to order but because of work i replaced after 2 months. No issue 😃

Do you guys find the car lag when you stop at slope then re accelerate to move up? Not sure am I the only one who experienced this which I find it very strange! Even sometimes reversing my car

This lag is common due to the nature of turbo cars. It might also be the hill start assist, which will help you brake for a few seconds for you to accelerate to prevent the car rolling backwards.

It’s not a problem, it’s a feature 🤭 jks aside, you just need to adapt yourself and get used to the pedal, no problem after that. Hill assist is there to help you as well.

Hi sifus, anyone experience issue with steering not centering properly after do rotation, wheel balance and alignment?

Been driving this car for 1yr 3mths now, mileage 29k, daily drive to work. Executive variant.
i. 3 cylinder engine - no issue. so far so good. bising? inside car not bising at all. vibrate? NO!
ii. support & service - depends on where you go. 4 SCs i went, 3 were good, 1 SC (Proton Regal Motors PJ) SA & pomen super rude.
iii. service cost - can refer the cost on Proton app, just follow the app, if they want to add on service/item, just say NO!
iv mechanical issues - mine no problem. apart from battery cap unta kaput less than a year, but I cant claim warranty bcs mileage more than 20k. warranty cover 1 year, 20k mileage only now my car aircond issue. not cold, only blower. i suspect gas bocor. this wednesday got appointment, see what's the problem.
v. spare part price - not sure

since this is my 1st car, so i cant judge other cars apart from my dad's kancil & my sister's saga.
all in all, nice car to drive. paling laju i drive 160km/h je, no vibration, & stable.
but sometimes when want to overtake, can feel a bit turbo lag.

Want fix the lag?
Simple je, pasang internet shared a lot de throttle control and adjust it, keep it certain rpm.
Just like sikit padel will keep the throttle open wide. Dont looking for me after install.

i copied some music files into the /Music folder in the HU but after awhile it gets deleted; is it due to the android optimization that happens occasionally?
