Wait them change back to port injection or make it dual gdi + port as Toyota, Lexus, latest vw engine |

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 6 2021, 10:01 AM) agreed on carbon build-up issues. but it happens per 60k km interval and costs about rm500-700 per cleaning outside. no manufacturer offers walnut cleaning as service interval including proton. for me rm700 per 60k km is ok That is a good way of lookin at it,just add $700 to maintenance budjet. As you said it is need a deccarb only around 60K which in my case is 3 years. Good input bro! |

No offer from Proton on removing the carbon build up. You need to send outside for walnut blasting. If I remember correctly, during X50 launch at Sepang, there was Q&A session and one of the attendees raised this issue on DI -> carbon build up issue. Proton response on the spot was that they have observed in other DI cars (I can't remember which car) and no significant carbon built up. So yeah, standby to send outside for blasting unless Proton offer this service in the future. |

But saw one FB shop shown Mazda 3 GDI carbon walnut cleaning b4 and after clean. Basically carbon built up is there even with Mazda statement. so agreed, standby for walnut cleaning in future |

QUOTE(MNF0 @ Apr 7 2021, 02:33 PM) If you worry about walnut blasting that requires the engine to be dismantled,You can try Liqui Moly Jet Clean Tronic service. If you go to their malaysian website, there is a list of service partners that provides this. The service cost about RM550. |
