I just checked the owners manual. It only mention the top speed for MPI engine, which is 190km/h (GDI 195km/h). There's no mention about 0-100 time.

I have not driven many cars but I can feel x50 is way more powerful than a civic 1.8 that I'm very familiar with.

Hi there. Thanks for the info. the x50 you're referring to is it the flagship or non-flagship variant?

Its a bit too late at this point of time, if really want to get another car better do it as soon as possible. Most places also need at least 1-2 months queue. X70 is out of the picture, heard waiting time now is 2-3 months already.

The only way is to inspect before delivery and if find any defects, do not sign the hand over delivery form.

Demand them to rectify all the defect baru sign papers.

Without you signing papers, bank cant release the money to the dealer .

Your rights to get it fix but before delivery

Adding “crack/chip on plastic around tweeter unit” to list of defect, you all can check first post at first page

Btw my SA just told me that there’s no Chassis number for me, and ask me to complaint to HQ myself lol

I think it is very helpful to create a separate thread on X50 defects.
It is also good to share that thread with Proton, so they and customer know how bad is their QC dept.

In 2021, I will look forward to test drive Perodua D55L.

No doubt X50 is fun to drive and packed with advance safety features

I'm hoping D55L offering at similar safety features. Didnt aspect anonymous L2 driving, but let said D55L able offer at similar comfort and safety, I don't mind 1.0 turbo engine at below Rm70k.

Another options is also Yaris crossover, but I doubt it is similar price range.
If were go above X50, likely to look X70 if there is facelift or upgrade in 2021 version.

But again, don't have too much confidence with Proton.
Screw up marketing that make customers wait and never provide sufficient training and information for their SA or dealer.

Then now 1st batch customers receiving cars with so many obvious defects.
Can you imagine those that you cant see? I will recommend we should wait longer, not to rush for car delivery in 2020. Proton is not really ready, all signs and feedback obviously demonstrated to you.

Lastly their 3s or 4s services still not par with any Japanese car dealers or also far from Perodua level.

Simply comparison here that you have to wait 3-4 hrs needed for Proton to do a normal service vs within 1 hr from Perodua.

Seems to me Proton never set level or KPI for theie dealers to maintain certain quality aspects.

I'm interested in the executive variant and there's no info (0-100) nor test drive unit available. The engine is non tgdi. Tgdi is powerful indeed with full specs listed.

Washed and did some detailing on the car just now.
Although there's minor defects here and there that I mentioned previously, overall I would say the build quality is noticeably better than my previous 8th gen Civic and current gen Myvi.

Very little squeaky panels, solid build and clever design.
