QUOTE(phernut @ Oct 29 2021, 12:58 PM) Most people get the 70mai A800s/A500s with rear cam because it seems like the best bang for buck. If you have budget for some high quality ones like Thinkware and Viofo you can check the dashcam forum here in LYN https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4763761 QUOTE(sanakim @ Oct 29 2021, 02:52 PM) Yep I got the 70mai A800s; cost ~RM500+ including rear cam RC06, SD card 128GB on Shopee and installation cost at shop (significant discount since I also did tint there). Yeah saw some mention over that thread and they prefer capacitor instead of battery operated 70mai, but discussion doesn't seems active there despite this is somewhat a compulsory add on for today's marketI heard Thinkware is like RM1.4k or something.. out of range lah lol. From 70mai site it appear for parking function to work, need to add optional Hardware Kit for Parking Mode, means it is tapped to fuse box to use car bettery instead of the unit's battery? Wonder would that cause car battery to flat even faster |

QUOTE(contestchris @ Oct 29 2021, 03:10 PM) Guys, what kind of fuel economy are you all seeing for normal day to day driving? Interesting topic I would like to hop on once I get my car. Please specify if it is the FS or S/Exec/Prem model Although it is expected to be high fuel consumption, also good to know how far it can stretch and how it fare against MPI version |

QUOTE(laytiong @ Oct 29 2021, 03:55 PM) i use xioayi dashcam nia x2. front and back. The FC you guys shown here are manually calculated or based on car calculated amount?just sent for 10k kms service RM295, asked back the old air filter because only used for 3000kms and can be reused in the future. fuel economy is 10.5l/100km premium. i'd reckon the difference is negligible because diff driving style, environment and road conditions |

Got my FS today after a year of wait. to be precise somewhat 355 days
tried 100kph today and no weird high pitch wind noise or whatsoever, overall happy with the car. May upgrade speaker to a better component set, hope accessory get to do without modding wires. |

QUOTE(sanakim @ Oct 31 2021, 10:55 PM) Sorry in advance for giant post. Yeah sound proof were good, so far I only tried with Radio FM, haven't try bluetooth/usb and stuffs yet.Congratulations!! Yeah, I think the wind noise is normal air resistance + tire rolling; quite good even at 110++ speeds. For the speakers, I realize bluetooth amp got issue; try to play via USB/QD link/JOOX and sound quality improves a lot. Please let us know and share which amp/speaker set you end up getting. Hopefully plug n play so no void warranty. Looking for Component set for front like DB Drive or Focal entry level set hopefully without addition of amp, if buy high end speaker usually high RMS need stronger amp to power them. let's see.. usually accessories will want us add amp |

QUOTE(death_nite @ Oct 31 2021, 11:55 PM) No wind noise? Normal wind noise at 100kph is expected to me, I don't think this is unacceptable or annoying as car reviewers commented.Mind doesnt have high pitch wind noise but got wind noise; the one u usually heard when drive 160kmj. Lol. Before upgrading ur speaker i am suggesting u to add on DSP. It sound so much better even with the stock speaker. I am planning to add one later. Plug and play. No wire cutting. Maybe pegasus brand around rm999 at all cross fifty. Meanwhile a quick check if we were to take urban/utility package from Proton, the power tail gate came with Proton logo/wording? |

QUOTE(jaychew90 @ Nov 1 2021, 01:59 AM) The complaints about wind noise is coming in at 70-80km/h. The wind is like hitting the upper side of the drive n right passenger windows. If your car doesn't feel any wind noise below 100kmh then good for you. Most of those complaining are owners since first batch till before June this year. Glad that they solved it, hope the earlier batch owner get a fix soon. So far the wind noise are minimal and acceptable level as how I think other car should have at this speed.Meanwhile for right side mirror, to me the angle were alright, I'm just 170cm so not a big issue to me, but would be better if can be angle just slightly more outwards, luckily it was a curved mirror so coverage were pretty decent. Also tried the ICC today I felt it stay a bit too much on the left of the lane where motorcycles would often cross, not sure if the system would learn and adapt the preferred distance we would like when ICC is on while we resist the steering for a bit longer. |

QUOTE(josh5671 @ Nov 3 2021, 12:47 AM) In x50 different story. Does these DSP came with amp? I wonder how output were boosted with just DSP which practically like a device that modify instead of amplify sound signal output. upgrade better speaker doesnt help due to the IHU just too weak to push stock speaker, so the same on upgraded speaker. Dsp is the way to fix, or other word make your upgraded speaker worth. The question is, worth to go 1k pegasus or 400-600 china dsp. I asked lyn member that own x50 with pegasus but he doesnt reply me lol... So i don know |

QUOTE(LighT93 @ Nov 3 2021, 11:26 AM) Hi, anyone got faced issue where during low speed/rpm like 1.5k - 2krpm that time, light footedly press the gas pedal will have some stutter or jerking issue. And also when releasing the gas pedal, the gear will tend to like dragging the car speed. Is this a common behaviour for a DCT? Coming from MT driver I find this normal because the gears are directly connected unlike conventional AT where the gears wasn't directly connected except for cruising they will lock it up.DCT is basically 2 sets of MT that changes gear automatically, so it will somewhat inherit some MT characteristics. |

QUOTE(ktek @ Nov 5 2021, 08:02 AM) for turbo charge rides, it actually happens same to other AT gear as well. Can't comment much on this since this is my first turbo and my first DCTthis is not becos of gearbox. no matter one clutch or two or three, still behave the same. usually we explain as automated manual trans. But 1 thing for sure is that coming from MT driver, low gear will feel the drag obviously, heck even just A/C compressor kick in on MT car can directly feel the drag especially when you're on 1st & 2nd gear |

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Nov 5 2021, 12:57 PM) Test drove Passat 7 gear dry clutch dct and x70 ckd dct, both have similarity when it tend to skip gear 1 most of time. It is resemble of a manual gb like, so the drag can't be eliminated totally. Maybe the skip gear 1 is done to reduce that Not complaining anyway, it is how DCT works mechanically and I'm totally fine with that.Same with X50 it tends to skip Gear 1 even on a steep hill. If say Proton/Geely did a fix to reduce low speed drag, which possibly by applying throttle, that would affect FC pula. We get something and lose something. I came from MT, this low gear drag on X50 is very acceptable VS controlled by human at Gear 1 or 2 you need to be quite skilled to be able to smoothen these drags without disengaging the clutch. |

QUOTE(Wind82 @ Nov 9 2021, 02:54 PM) Anyone got their car without Proton Link ready? Once my SA shared the chasis number detail, by the time I register Proton Link app, my car already linked with my newly registered profile.Mine still show no car registered. Complaint to SA, he said already forward issue to HQ, might take up to 2 weeks to activate. |
