QUOTE(contestchris @ Nov 10 2021, 07:04 PM) I also just got Exec car last week. May I know, how to on the car using remote? Or cannot? Very unclear, even SA didn't knew about it. QUOTE(lazyman@home @ Nov 10 2021, 07:18 PM) Oh this one can. U press the lock button twice and then hold the last button (the one look like reload thing). It should start, I think for couple minute? If want to stop it just hold again the last button. Can use remote start, but no Proton Link app for Standard and ExecHow about your proton link, can use? QUOTE(thesnake @ Nov 10 2021, 07:19 PM) may i know what is the waiting time for X50 highest spec these days? Was thinking to get this or the upcoming City hatchback You may try asking around, I heard Flagship is generally slower and highly depend on your SA & Outlet capability. Just got my Flagship after almost 1 year.City Hatchback I don't think can match against X50, City hatchback were made to go head on with Yaris. Only thing City Hatchback can contest with X50 is the Ultraseat flexibility & much better fuel consumption, and also perhaps, logo? |

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Nov 16 2021, 02:14 PM) Just ordered the Premium (white) variant, can't wait to get my hands on it hehe! See how deep your pocket is.SA recommended "2022" batch and could take up to 6 months from now, so expect to get it around March 2022. What are the mods / coating / accessories would you guys recommend? The basic must have are car mat, boot tray, tinted, door guard, dash cam. The rest of it can be considered luxurious. |

QUOTE(josh5671 @ Nov 16 2021, 04:13 PM) Boottray any intro? I think any RM40-ish boot tray will do good, most importantly is to prevent spill. I am also considering buying Velcro net to net the 2 hole at the side, but worrying it will not do good on the fabric if often tearing it open.Because stock febric type just pickup everything on the item we carry... And hard to clean. https://shopee.com.my/search?keyword=x50%20boot%20tray |

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Nov 16 2021, 04:14 PM) Thanks for your list! totally forgotten about dash cam and door guard as I've never used them before haha! Coating/ppf film see how much u care about the car, in my opinion they are way too overpriced, try to imagine if u involve in accident, those protection you put on it gone just like that, other than that the paint chip off and stuff is not obvious if you don't often wash car on your own.I've been reading mixed reviews about coating, some say not necessary for new car, some say need to care more to maintain it Also have some idea to spend a little bit on some stuffs like - getting the geely S spoiler - wax/coating of the white lamp covers (not sure what is the right word) Not gonna change anything major like sport rim etc. but im thinking about 4-5 k to make it sharper/neater Also, not sure if you guys have any reference to White cars with added accessories/different sticker/decal on it, would like to see some reference too! With coating & film also doesn't mean you don't need to wash car and don't need to recoat, you still need to continuously maintain them as well be it washing or recoat. Just that the frequency of recoating your car is long compared to wax and less sticky to dusts. Depends how everyone look at it, I don't take care of car that much, I just make sure I wash it atleast once per month at car wash center that don't use laundry detergent will do. BTW the doorguard I use is the long stripe attach on door edge » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Nov 16 2021, 04:55 PM) I see, thank you so much for your explanation, I suppose I'll just stick to a monthly/bi-monthly car wash with wax (I don't really like to spend too much effort on a car either). Then those amount spent on coating/film doesn't make your car resale value to be any better say within 10 years,I was watching a X50 modded with sticker yesterday and the owner did say that if there's any accident/bump, the sticker might chip out the original paint altogether (not surprising considering any accidents would do the same), but the thought of having to go back to do sticker guy to touch up again is...(im too lazy for that!) Re the door guard, I saw a similar one (chrome colour), will definitely get one of those as it doesn't stick out as much as the normal rubber-tube looking door guard haha! Even if it does have better value, it won't be anywhere near the initial investment you've spent. But if you were some OCD who felt really hurt finding any paint chips or car paint losing shine and you have few thousands ringgit extra to spare, then why not? diners liked this post

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Nov 16 2021, 09:47 PM) yup you have a point, personally don't really care much about the resale value, more like its personal OCD and satisfaction haha! I have waited 1 year, hope newer batches come early I'd probably just go for tint + ppf for starters, will see! Long way to go before I get my hands on the car! Just place a booking first, if you don't want later still cancel, but if u keep dragging there could be chances that u could have missed the SST tax holiday, and hope by that time more things got fixed better like Driver side mirror maybe can turn outwards even more. So far Wind noise my batch seems solved ady This post has been edited by zero5177: Nov 16 2021, 09:53 PM |

QUOTE(amscouzach57 @ Nov 17 2021, 09:38 AM) What I did was buy key fob cover, door guard, boot tray, magnetic sunshade, floor mats. Yeah Keyfob cover can consider as it is freaking huge, easily get scratched with its smooth surface.Still undecided on which tint to buy & if I wanna install door visors or not Tinted at first I plan to get 3M Crystalline, in the end I ended with IrisPro cost me about 1.2k++ inc sunroof. So far quite happy about it. Ziet Inv liked this post

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Nov 17 2021, 10:39 AM) Thanks for this! You got all of them from local accessory stores or online (Shopee/Lazada)? All those accessories available through Shopee/Lazada, local accessory shop normally will have much higher price compared to online, then for keyfob some are shipped from China takes a week or 2.By the way, does the local accessory stores (say like Brothers) have a lot of accessory variety for X50? or not much yet? Will keep that in mind for the key fob! How many % TSER is your tint? (correct me if im wrong but JPJ limit is 80%? but realistically what is the "optimum" TSER that won't trigger abang polis kacau? I've been seeing a lot of good reviews on the 3M Crystalline, though I've never physically seen any of it before yet. Regarding Tint, JPJ only care the VLT, but now darker tint can be applied with JPJ approval. 3M Crystalline is people's favorite when it comes to branded tint, but it may weaken Smart Tag signal like some reported here due to the tint is sputter type instead of ceramic, there is solution on how to counter this by either adopt RFID or have a small square cut without tint, In the end I took Irispro because it was rated 100% UV filtration for 400+ grade UV while they claim the commercial tinted only have 99% filtration for lower 380 grade UV, they conduct a test to me that film with 99% UV filtration for grade 380 only get like less than 70% of filtration if tested under UV grade 420. Well the tint part you may visit their showroom for more details, the staff are pretty friendly and approachable, even their test kit used seems more convincing compared to some other brand like Raytech. So far usage wise I am satisfied with the price I paid, and 7 years peace of mind if performance dropped more than 10% during the warranty period. Ziet Inv liked this post

QUOTE(kllonely1 @ Nov 17 2021, 11:19 AM) which grade did you buy? I bought UVPro 90 series which is Ceramic based, it blocks 100% 420 UV grade based on their meter.does it block smarttag/waze/autogate remote? notice it uses dye and titanium. So far tested Smart Tag & residential Autogate RFID all can pass. |

QUOTE(Clubtoska @ Nov 17 2021, 11:24 AM) Hi sifus, quick question. My sister booked her car one year ago. Nov. 2020. The salesman has kept changing the dates for nearly a year. From one month, to another month, to another month, to another colour for faster delivery, to another month and another month. Is she being taken for a ride? Probably many cut queue. So far to what I understand how cut queue works 1. Taking power Boot package will have better priority 2. Trade in old car 3. Outlet ability to secure more units 4. QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Nov 17 2021, 12:02 PM) the smart tag is using infrared sign as signal. if u select tint with 97-99% IRR, the tag will not work or is hard to read the sign. 3M had 97% IRR. based on my experience, tint with 95% IRR is the max to ensure tag is working but need to slow down It is somewhat related, those can reach 97% - 99% IRR I think only Sputter type able to achieve that.. but maybe like u said lower performance Sputter type may be able to go through as well if the IRR is lower than 95%Based on meter my Windscreen is 94% IRR just 1% shy from your said max 95%, maybe that's the reason why it still can go through without struggles |

QUOTE(exdtan @ Nov 23 2021, 12:49 PM) Hmm why do you want to plug in phone and play Spotify when you can do it Bluetooth wireless way ? Usually Plug in sound quality is better compared to BT and I also don't need to pair BT say if I need to use other phone/passenger phone to play song. But yes, Bluetooth is the way for Spotify. QDLink is if you want to play YouTube music video on Infotainment screen. Coming from Android Auto/Car Play I just need to have Android Auto + plug in then can play music immediately. But if BT is the only way for Spotify, then we can only live with it |

QUOTE(Seng89 @ Nov 21 2021, 09:16 PM) I have 1st Gen Myvi, the X50 is way more spacious compared to Myvi, front, back or cabin space, however the latest Myvi I wasn't sure, personally I don't think it was the same or bigger than X50. Bring a measurement tape to find out, look and feel is very subjective and some design were made to look spacious Seng89 liked this post

QUOTE(Seng89 @ Nov 23 2021, 09:41 PM) Haha, yeah I got the old 1.3 SE edition. So latest myvi I'm not sure already. At least x50 already feel premium. Cukup for me. Older Myvi I can easily reach out to Rear seat & Passenger seat door handle with my hand, but not with this X50 I think people think X50 is smaller because it is an SUV from outside, people have high expectation that it will be very spacious and getting disappointed because they set expectation too high Meanwhile those like Myvi & City they appear bigger than how they look from exterior, so the wow factor. I used to think HRV look small because having that kind of expectation too, while in fact it was more spacious than X50 especially with the Ultraseat utilization. SUV which I think truly spacious, excellent outdoor view and airy is the Forester. Anyway if in doubt, always bring a measurement tape |

QUOTE(ktek @ Nov 24 2021, 12:24 PM) See if you want to clear the doubt or not, otherwise it's all empty talk with the "Feel"There's only 1 way to find out. If I'm not mistaken there's a car reviewer either in HK or TW is comparing Corolla Cross cabin space VS HRV with measurement tape. Should we felt embarrassing doing so, that also meant we don't really mind on the exact differences. |
