Let's see how the media reacts.

So far pretty neutral.

I still say it's a good result because the third qtr and fourth qtr produced good results. I believed the second qtr missed because of the US plant being affected by the state imposing shutdown on activities in California.

I read somewhere this year,... Mr Musk himself challenged the city council to arrest him for re-opening the plant earlier than allowed.

All these are viewed as positive by the investor community.

But let's see.

TSLA kept hitting all time highs,...

With a Blue Wave sweep early this morning,... would augur well for TSLA being on the green energy bandwagon...

FSD subscription should start if FSD is launched widely. Not sure how Tesla will put out the message to avoid liabilities. This may not have been priced in the stock price yet.

This is just the beginning.

The stock has gone on an 11-day uptrend. I think this is a record of some sort.

Will it break the record and go higher or will it start to show signs of weaknesses. Nobody knows.

Still wondering if I should invest in Tesla or Nio (china's tesla).

Believe both will have great potential, just like Apple vs Samsung

Why don't you do your own calculations and projections?

Having numbers will help in making the decision easier.

Expensive in what sense?

Do your research and you’ll be surprised.

Not really Tesla related, but I’ve taken an interest in investing in EV/battery metals lately.

I’ve taken small positions in lithium and nickel stocks (ASX).

The consensus seems to be that the demand for ev metal supplies are going skyrocket in the next decade.

How much metal is Tesla consuming and how much is that going to increase?

You can do a rough calculation.

Tesla battery packs range from 50kWh to 100kWh, but mainly for Model 3 will be a range of 50-75kWh. I would put the median to be about 60kWh per vehicle with last year selling 500k will come to about 30GWh. Other companies I don't know.

Lithium in batteries are not much, nickel will be more for the higher performance batteries.

These metals content are quite proprietary and unique to each manufacturer so I don't have much info.

Consumption will definitely grow exponentially in the future.

Investment in commodities and mining is not my cup of tea due to various reasons. It is also very low in the value chain.

Highest price target to date of $1200 by Piper Sandler.

Read the 104 page report at Piper Sandler

Conclusion - "2020 was a breakout year for TSLA, but in our view, the fireworks aren't over. Even after a 10x return over the past 12 months, we don't think investors should be selling this stock."
