Actually u can use channel 52~64 by setting it to auto and manually change it via winscp

Ya, so make all the mods before upgrade, and it will stay remain after upgrade. Do a backup before upgrade to save your time, just in case

My Ax1800 shipped with latest firmware. No issue to follow the step. Anyhow.. My line was disconnected jst now. Not sure unifi issue or router. After restart then OK. Will monitor these few days. Thanks.

No worries. Many problematic connection are due to high latency attributed to wifi-wifi signal not established properly. 5 mbps if stable and low latency are far better than 50 mbps with low latency multi floor house connection issue scenario as example.

Happen again. Suddenly not able to connect to unifi again. The only way is to format and resetup everything again....

i ended up using this as wireless extender mode. but a bit uncomfortable due to the miwifi app is cloud based, and the router keep sending a beacon to the internet.

all sifu, just wondering ... if i plug cable from my current tplink of maxis router to this ax3600.. and use this ax3600 for wifi only (disable tplink wifi) ... is the speed acceptable ？ anyone tried ?

No need to change router to wifi 6 router if your internet package speed is below 500mbps. If u change to wifi 6 router your device almost is wifi 5 also not got best performent. Wifi 6 is defective so now got wifi 6e more better than wifi 6. So now not need upgrade to wifi 6 router just waiting wifi 6e.

i did this exactly, i dont think there was a significant difference for the existing wifi 5 client. speed more or less is similar with asus ac86u, which can cover my whole double storey house
