Hi all the sifus in lyn,

My old faithful a 97 proton iswara is having an issue. When I am stuck in a jam with the air con switch on, the car will ratter violently then engine mati.

Fortunately, i still can start my engine after the engine mati. But when I stuck in a jam without the air con, the car works fine.

However, while driving without traffic jam the air con works fine. Need help on the issue. Thanks in advance.

There's an idling adjustment @yr carb that increases idling speed of engine when aircon cuts in. It's activated by a vacuum system.

Pls get that system chk-ed (no leaks in vacuum tubes) & the idling cut-in @carb re-adjusted.

2) the 'gokkk gokkk" sound isn't normal? all the while i thought it's normal due to new brake! need to bring to SC liao

i there... I am a owner or Proton Persona 1st Model...
The problem is , sometimes when i driving my car , the TEMPERATURE of my car is going high... i mean to high almost end of the temp meter....
for info, the radiator coolent water was chg to new..
radiator fan function normally... but still same...sometime ok sometime not ok...
is this something wrong with my car ?

the question is...did anybody have this problem before and what is the solution ?

hi all, just want to confirm.. i'm NOT allowed to claim:
- faulty lower arm
- 1pc cracked engine mounting..

what's the purpose of warranty if we are not allowed to claim??
i've called proton careline, they told me the same thing...

Since yu ARE OLEDI ALLOWED to claim (as wat yu wrote...see bolded part of yr post!)...what are yu complaining here??

Warranty claims come tied to Terms & Conditions eg age/mileage of vehicle & many others.
Mayb yr claim did not fulfill 1 or more of those T&Cs?

Try ask re reasons...

already checked with careline, they inform that lower arm, engine mounting & rubber bush related not covered.. than what's the point of warranty?
my other car "non proton" manufacturer do not hav such problem..

Firstly, there's usually NO such thing as UNconditional warranty...alwaz got T&Cs...sorry...

Fr wat I've experienced, sometimes SCs do close an eye to certain claims depending on specific situations, certain considerations, etc.

Do chk yr Service Booklet/Manual for details of warranty coverage. A 3-year warranty does NOT normally cover every part of the car...unless it is specifically stated as UNConditional/UNlimited.

Usually 3-yrs warrant only cover engine proper & gearbox. Most other systems are 1yr only. Wear & tear parts are NOT covered at all.

Mayb yu can name yr other "car" which provides full warranty so that others can appreciate it? TQ.

Other than the Engine and gearbox which carries a 3 year warranty, other items such as what you mentioned are covered for at most 1 year or 20k km, both of which have been exceeded in your case.

Actually, your items are also considered wear and tear items which are not covered, but if it were broken within 1 year, some SCs may replace for your for free.

bro dares, thx 4 ur info. when i called proton or asked the SC.. they just informed me these parts not covered under wrty..
they shld at least explained to me properly rather than jst refused my claims..

Hehe dont rage. Dont expect them to give you an explanation, even if they explain i also take it with a pinch of salt.

This is where forums and the internet are a great source of info. Also consult your manual, it should be mentioned somewhere.

I've faced the same problem, the rubber pipes in your engine leak the coolant. go to aircond service centre, they should know what to do

never drive car with a/con while the cabin still hot cause can crack the windows.

Hi I owned a SAGA BLM .. and my car is around 4 years old. I'm having this problem I think maybe around half a year or more. While driving in the jam (slow traffic), car jerking and then mati enjin. But when driving on highway, no problem exist, car jerking and mati enjin only happen during slow traffic. Anyone help please~~~

Can. Me alwaz on aircon each time get into car even after parked under hot sun. No prob.
Juz dun direct aircon vents 2blow DIRECTLY at windows. May cause sudden contraction?
