wow, so fast change to V4. I brought my w8501, good phone though, nice sound but feel abit dissapointed with the picture and the navigation buttons. Still prefer these buttons than joystick

Please check your IMEI no is it the same as the original one...before Upgrade.....

My one... IMEI last number is 20 (original R1GB001 ) ...after i upgrade to R1JG001....
it become 29


Please check check and tell me the result ya...

If sent to shop, the person gave u other ppl's phone to u instead of ur own phone perhaps?

OO same as me lol....me also got that -29 at the last there.....
before i do update i got mark down my original imei.....
it change from 20 to 29.....hmmmm wonder y....

My IMEI got 17 Digit ( NOT INCLUDE DASH - )

8 Digit - 6 digit - 1 digit - 2 digit

For those who not yet upgrade, try specify your last 2 digit is what no ? is it 20 ?
And for those already update to new firmware try see the last 2 digit is it 29 ???

show 15 Digit.....the last 2 din show.....

at phone *#06# show 17 Digit...extra 2 digit ...and this 2 digit is change...

Hmmm maybe this 2 digit is to identify firmware version or something....
However any of you who upgrade to newest version of firmware..please confirm the last 2 digit of number with us.....

can check by *#06#

dragonteoh: dun worry so much la.. i guess as long as the IMEI no u have is same with ur box IMEI no. then its fine adi. me also the first 15 digits is same with the box and just have the additional 29 at the back. i guess that's to indicate the firmware version~

hahaha well my box is AP one...so IMEI sure is different then the Phone....
By the way after i check the box only i found that only 15 digit not 17.... huuuuu terkejut me when i finish do update..almost pengsan...





However successfully done upgrade.. large movie thumnail hang problem solved..

But ... i feel the chinese sms like abit lag...haha donno la..maybe wrong feeling or wat....

Can you check whether the dancing light trick work? It will continue to blink after you lock the keypad and waiting for 5 sec before holding the C button to activate it

as the IMEI issue, the last two numbers is not important, as long as the first 15 digits still there.

If you purchasing Original Phone such as Midland then you gonna make sure all the IMEI must be the same....

By the way, talk about AP Set... why the Box IMEI is different then the Phone IMEI ?
Well ...in my mind just one possible reason....they wanna let user identify which is AP set which is Original i think.....

Actually i got saw some seller, they just took out the phone.... then mix out the box with other box... so , you might took other ppl's box, and other ppl might took your box......

Got one of my friend buy AP Phone, however his phone and box are same IMEI.... this mean the seller not yet mix up the box yet...

however....the price also drop RM20 - 30 after 1 week i buy W850i....
