how to check the firmware version?

do w850i has the feature like protect the phone/inbox? I mean, let say people want to use or want to read our inbox, they need to enter password before can access ..

my w850i doesnt have english manual .. there are 3 manuals but all are not english .. it is hard to understand more about w850i ..

my IMEI also not the same with the box leh, but the first 8 digits is same then others are different... mine the last 2 digit is 20, still using R1GB001.how is the latest firmware? everyone satisfied?

what is the default phone lock code?

check firmware version? menu>settings>update service

or key in >*<<*< during standby mode, you will quite a lot of info there.

protection for messages/folder? sorry, not in SE phones.

as for manual, download the english manual from SE website..

download the theme, save it in theme folder in ur phone, apply it...then u will able to use it.

my friend's w810, the phone will charged in phone mode (once connect to USB) but my w850i, it will charged in file transfer mode ..

is it normal for w850i? ..

u mean firmware or extra software or computer software?if install extra software got problem just usb the phone with cable and reinstall it if computer software u need goto control panel del the software and install agian...,if firmware problem but phone still working use sues...

normally, the windows will install driver automatically once we connect the device to pc rite? we can see the bubble at the bottom right hand side ..

I connected my w850i and the bubble said "Installation is not complete. The device may be not working properly".

Dat is my problem ..


I tried to reinstall the driver by right click on my computer --> properties --> device manage --> reinstall driver for w850i but it ask to connect to the internet or location like floppy/cdrom ..

what should I do?

nope i think is ur computer cant connect ur usb cable because u havnt install ur w850i driver how the computer can deceted it...u shd put the w850i cd the same as u do device manage--->search from ur cd that w850i driver o download from SE website....
