Looking to port over to Digi from Maxis postpaid.

Do I just walk in to Digi, or should I go to Maxis first? Bills all paid, of course with the difference in billing Date etc, there is some charges to be paid ( I have auto debit subscribed).

Would like to avoid going to Maxis at all if possible.

Damn. I nearly topped up RM50 to my NEXT number just when I saw this. I converted my old SIM for the sole purpose of getting NEXT 40 + RM5 booster just now, but it's on the old plan apparently? What?? Bruh.

So now what? Do I have to buy a fresh SIM or can I ask Digi CS to change it? (I mean I know the answer is probably the former tbh...) Disappointing from Digi. Wouldn't this count as false advertising?

I wanted to port out from Digi. During the process, Digi CS called me and asked why I want to port out and all.
To cut it short, Digi counter offered. Told me there is no contract and I can try this new package first, if I'm not happy can switch to another telco.
I accepted. I checked in MyDigi app and saw there is a 1 year contract. I immediately wrote to Digi via the app, asking about the promised no contract and told them I want it in black and white
The staff replied saying there's no contract but there is a special tagging on my account, if I want to switch I have to contact them first to remove the tagging.
Basically the tagging is another chance for them to convince me not to port out.

How legit is this?

Whats the cheapest way to mnp to digi? Previously got digi tapp, literally free just need to wait for sim postage. But they've quietly closed it down since merger with celcom completed. I think few ppl that uses tapp is now auto migrated to digi prepaid. I missed the boat.

Not sure if their service center would charge for mnp if do it there but that cost petrol and time to travel. Closes digi service center is like 1h away.

Kedai ustaz might charge unofficially for rm10 for the sim/mnp service.

Online mnp on digi website, while the sim the mnp service and the postage is free they're forcing to buy 1 month internet plan, cheapest is rm15.

Not really that much faster than 4G anyway, was not impressed.

Did a speed test this morning on my iphone and the 5G result (4 bars i.e. full) was 409mbps down and 30mbps up. In Bayan Baru, Penang island.

Not sure what the current madani government will do with it. They can’t let the DNB to go toward loss-making too as the damaged is done by the previous government. Technically DNB is still owned by government…

Is digi using the same port of unifi for landed house?

Does it mean I can port from Celcom to Digi easily? Won't have any issue if rejected coz I can still settle any required resubmission at the same place?

Folks, recently ported in to Digi and noticed that I can no longer 'easily' receive international SMS (e.g. Telegram verification SMS, office VPN etc.). Anyone encounter the same?

This digi is something  not right. i called and said i wanna port out by end of this month coz no 5g for my 60 postpaid plan. Then two days ago they went to,increase  another 10g of data for me. now i got 90g of data for fark?lol

I just changed to NEXT RM15 for 6GB accidentally a few months ago. regretted a lot for first month, but next month suddenly pop up a Box of Surprise of RM10 for 5GB auto-renew unlimited social. with digi loyalty extra 6GB. NOICE. very worth.

the RM15 for 6GB kinda sux though if dont have the BOS.

Update: there are three legacy DG prepaid plans that cannot switch to Next if the current validity is more than 60 days:

Apparently, Digi CS informed me that if my prepaid line is inactive, it will be No Service when abroad. Perhaps I need to double confirm with another Digi CS agent on this matter. But I'm ok with No Service, I can switch on VoWIFI for incoming SMS and voice calls.
To prevent leakage of international roaming charges. I ported in to Digi prepaid from Maxis postpaid due to roaming leakages (Maxis refunded me anyway).
VoWIFI is indeed my only method to receive free incoming voice calls directly to my phone number while abroad and it will work even if the line is inactive. Though the uptime for VoWIFI is not 100%.

For more than 10 years I always got SMS reminder a month BEFORE termination.
Now, suddenly...no more notice.
Early April was the last time my number still active.

Where did you all go and redeem your grab points now? Recently just realised that the point redeemed can't be more than the daily limit of RM1.5k.

just port in to Digi last week. Just wonder how do I deactivate the call waiting service? Couldn't find useful tips on their self-help website.

I am on postpaid 40, and my contract supposed to end yesterday. Already replied to sms that I am no longer wanted to get free 25Gb quota with contract few days ago. Received SMS that my request in process. And yesterday evening received SMS that I am granted 5GB monthly recurring for 12month which of course I am automatically extended the contract. The extension is not under my consent at all. Dirty trick to keep customer by tied into contract. Tomorrow will contact them again as today is public and no one is replying to my request so far.

Very tiring need to MANUALLY activate the #5G_is_fake feature every 30 days...

Might as well change to Unifi Mobile at half priced? Default got 5G.

My area, Digi and Celcom 1 - 2 bar. Data sometime drop until E. everytime i need change flight mode and change back only will have that 2 bar back.
Just tried used Hotlink, Hotlink Full Bar.
Maybe just port out.

Any idea if MNP out is there any issue to received TAC or other sms ?

Digi keep dropping non stop. 50% of the time i cant hear the other side. Been  highlight since 2021 and they keep mention is in their next year improvement plan until 2023 still next year improvement plan lol
