my story:
deluge 0.5.6.2 keep crashing like every 15 minutes or so, so i install sony soundforge last nite to convert an mp3 to a long wav, to use as error sound on windows. but then, deluge didnt crash anymore! maybe installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable that came with soundforge did fix my problem, maybe can fix yours too.

mostly the crashes are due to the c++ runtimes

if can users without problem please provide your c++ runtimes exact version.. smile.gif

how to get the exact version i'm not sure.. lol.. smile.gif

well at least there is one user who is using c++ 2005 redistribution seems to solve it so guess thats the way to go..

Most of the errors/crashes in win-deluge seem to be related to C++. Installing MS Visual C++ redistr may stablize deluge.

so i just need to install ms visual c++ then do nothing then deluge will be stable, isn't it? or do i have to make any changes after installing visual c++?

Yup, so it seems, hopefully!

My deluge just managed to survive the night  smile.gif

please note that your not installing the C++ as in C++ , your just installing the runtime files smile.gif , just to clarify some confusion, later people think your installing c++ the compiler and stuff..

go here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search....?displaylang=en

search for "c++ runtime" or you can download this

Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)

QUOTE
The Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) installs runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries required to run applications developed with Visual C++ on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2005 installed.
