My family Streamyx was unreliable and only 4 down, 0.4 up.
Recently borrowed a TP-Link MR6400 with Maxis sim card although unsure what plan.
Was really impressed by the performance and my family subscribed to the unlimited plan. Bought for my family a TP-Link MR6400 too.
One speedtest, around 30 down, 40 up.
Going to battle test it and see whether it can fit my family needs before terminating our Streamyx.

Yes, in reality between 8pm and 12pm, the speed is throttled according to Task Manager. However when speedtest.net ...... There was one website which I used between this time which was not throttled however I forgot which one. I think it was downloading DaVinci Resolve from Blackmagic's website. Attached thumbnail(s)

My family has terminated our Unifi Lite/Streamyx connection and will continue with Maxis One despite having questionable stability problems caused by our router. Randomly, we will no longer have internet access and the resolution is too reboot the router. The router my family is using is the MR6400 from TP-Link.

I am currently trying to download drivers for HP laptops from HP's website and I am getting only 50 kilobytes per second regardless of browser (edge or chrome) and regardless of operating system (ubuntu or windows). When downloading through my phone which uses Umobile, not so slow. The domain for HP's drivers includes the word "ftp". example: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp95501-96000/sp95889.exeOnly this morning at 4am was I able to download drivers at normal speed. EDIT: I am aware of online complains that HP's website being slow EDIT 2: I downloaded Touch VPN Chrome extension. Now getting 500 to 1000 kilobytes per second. Not great but better. QUOTE(sp6068 @ Feb 4 2021, 01:16 AM) Has anyone gone passed the 300GB limit? Can you do a speedtest? I'm doing a test I think Maxis might be doing another type of throttling but this time for those passed 300gb. I did these test just after 1am. I cannot seem to get above 10mbps. My data counter according to modem is 312GB. [attachmentid=10777994][attachmentid=10777995] I wish there was a way for me to identify how much quota I have used through a Maxis application. My router can supposedly report the data usage but it is widely inaccurate.

QUOTE(choen @ Jun 2 2021, 09:37 PM) That's so much better than mine. In fact, I keep getting disconnected from the signal. It's really really really shit. Did you try repositioning your router at different areas of your house?

sharing an update on my experience. overall happy but not happy when randomly having problems with selected sites. router system log shows this. I do not understand the "log content". Only can gather it is bad news. Tonight was trying to log in to http://mybayar.rmp.gov.my/ and couldn't. Since then some sites working no problem, some sites forever trying to load. Getting a bunch of connection timed out when I open the console in my web browser. EDIT: Persistent over multiple reboots of computer and router. EDIT 2: Definitely Maxis problem since I moved sim card to phone and on hotspot, issue persists This post has been edited by dylan_chng: Jul 14 2021, 11:46 PM Attached thumbnail(s)
