Yeah my YT kena throttle also only get like 180kb-200kb/s...while on speedtest can jump to 30mbps...any reason why?

Its being controlled by maxis, everyday from 8pm - 12 am. Anything google and social media. (YouTube, Facebook, Google play, twitter) some streaming site maxis will cut the speed to bare minimum. Only way is to go with VPN to bypass.

It wont block downloading tho, so if you are heavy download, its a good plan, if maxis is the strongest in your area.

Good to hear that. Get some vpn to bypass the 8pm - 12am speed control by maxis, i recommend, shopee, use website if possible,if not hard to search. search surfshark vpn, DO NOT go for Nord VPN got so much trouble trying to connect, express vpn maaaybe okay, but did not try.

You can get like rm10-rm20 for an account,the account maybe illegal, but im sure you can use it for a few months or maybe even longer which is still a good bargain than subscribing it on the real website.

Why they do this since we pay premium price...is a bad idea to throttle at peak hour as most of the people use at that time...this is ridiculous 🤬🤬🤬

I already called CS and complain about this issue. They gave me this 🖕🏻 Purely just listen to my rants and do no shit about it.

No choice but to VPN...but still so mafan everytime on vpn for youtube

I’ve notice my Netflix doesn’t have issue viewing 1080P but at 2mbps speed only.

I thought already being throttle when they release this plan ....call CS said MCO issue....suck hard la....what the point if cant use social media on full speed at peak hour sonemore we paid 100+..da fei gei only?

Maxis mobile network has been very congested ever since the MCO started and worsened by their Hotlink MU 20GB add-ons. You shjould count yourself lucky if you can get 10Mbps at night.

What to do. Maxis has the best 4G network BUT when during MCO heavy usage is still fare better than my Digi does. My area totally no hope for Digi Infinite 150. Play Netflix movie drop until 240p or 360p then keep buffering.

Mine still can view 480p but not many readahead for sec..

YouTube I can understand lorh.. since It would sure increase the loads... everyone stream at 1080p or 4K so reduce speed.. so everyone pick 480p only

Facebook speed is being throttled to 1.5mbps (190KB/s) at 8pm~12am.
I believe all Maxis plans, excluding fibre plan, are getting throttled during night time for YouTube, Facebook, & Google apps updating, although speed testing or Filehippo download could get high speed at 30~50mbps.
Tested on One Go Wifi, & One 188 plans.
